People are born, live and die in unimaginable conditions
We say our prayers, go to Church on Sundays, try our best to fulfil the commandments and we sincerely give thanks to God for all He blesses us with as we battle through life. Meanwhile, we worry about our security, fear for our children's future and obsess over our retirement fund. We fall prey to a host of stress related ailments, generally dislike our employment and tremble with terror at the sight of our ageing bodies. We find respite in retail therapy, renewal in the occasional nip and tuck and purpose in befriending the world through social media. Such first world problems, such sure to fail, new age solutions. At the other end of the planet, a different story unfolds.
Monument to Njegos in Andric-grad revealed

In Andric-grad near Visegrad in Republic of Srpska, a monument of the Bishop and the great Montenegrin poet Peter II Petrovic Njegos was revealed in front of the church dedicated to Holy Prince Lazar and the Martyrs of Kosovo on 30 November 2013.
Poet and academician Matija Beckovic revealed the monument. The sculpture of Njegos, placed on the square of the same name, is a copy of the monuments which are located in Belgrade and Podgorica. The President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik, who along with the chief creator of Andric-grad Emir Kusturica was most deserving that Njegos is in the City of stone (district of Visegrad), said that the monument represented the eternal testimony of love towards Njegos.
Bishop Jovan of Ulpiana in Holy Land

His Grace Bishop Jovan of Ulpiana, Vicar of Serbian Patriarch, from November 17-24 2013 paid a visit to the Holy City of Jerusalem and the Holy Land.
On this occasion Bishop Jovan was received by His Beatitude Patriarch Teophilos III of Jerusalem and All Palestine and had a long and cordial discussion with him.

On Monday evening, His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej arrived in the monastery of the Dormition of the Most Holy Mother of God in Himmelsthür.
Serbian Patriarch Irinej was welcomed by priests 0f the Diocese of Middle Europe. Yesterday, on 26th November, when our Holy Church celebrates Saint John Chrysostom, Serbian Patriarch celebrated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the monastery of the Dormition of the Most Holy Mother of God. Local priests concelebrated to the Patriarch.

The Serbian Patriarch was welcomed by Consul Branko Radovanovic, Vice-Consul Zivorad Petrovic, President of AirSerbia Germany Zoran Kostic, official of the Consulate Gojko Femic, as well as protopresbyter-stavrophor Milan Pejic, episcopal deputy; protopresbyter Marko Jovanovic, protopresbyter Stojan Barjaktarevic and protpriest Simon Turkic, as well as the official of the Diocese Mr. Carol Lupu.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Metropolitanate of Austria His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch served the Holy Liturgy in Vienna
The central event of the pastoral visit of Patriarch Bartholomew to Austria was the jubilee – the 50th anniversary of the Greek Metropolitanate in Austria. The solemn Holy Liturgy, on the occasion of this significant jubilee, was served in the church of the Resurrection of Christ in the centre of Vienna.
