Bishop Atanasije visits President of Republic of Srpska
29. October 2013 - 11:28His Grace Bishop Atanasije of Bihac-Petrovac met with President of the Republic of Srpska Mr. Milorad Dodik at the Palace of the President of the Republic of Srpska in Banja Luka yesterday
The meeting was attended by Mr. Miladin Dragicevic, advisor to the President, and Mr. Zorn Jurisc, chief of the cabinet of Bishop Atanasije. Bishop Atanasije and President Dodik discussed the actual themes concerning all citizens of the Republic of Srpska, and especially the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. President Dodik called for a closer cooperation between the Serbian Orthodox Church and the state institutions of the Republic of Srpska.
Magnificent celebration of Saint Petka on Cukarica
28. October 2013 - 9:58The feast day of Venerable mother Parascheva was solemnly celebrated with the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the church at Cukarica dedicated to this great saint
His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy with the concelebration of the local priests. The choir of this church Saint Joachim and Anna sang responses.
Pan-Orthodox magnificent slava days of togetherness and spirituality
28. October 2013 - 9:22Despite the heavy rains and bad weather in Johannesburg on 19 and 20 October, when the patron feast-day was celebrated, a great number of parishioners, guests and priests visited the church of Saint Thomas the Apostle.
After almost five arid and dry months in Johannesburg, we all spontaneously felt the three-day intensive rain as a great blessing of God and Saint Thomas the Apostle, as well as the blessing of our Patriarch and the dearest guest, His Grace Bishop David of Stobi.

The Brkic triplets now have a website where you can donate for surgical expenses
to restore sight for Nada and Slobodan. Their Serbian names Vera, Nada, and
Slobodan translate to Faith, Hope, and Freedom. Two of the triplets were born
blind as a result of overdose of oxygen in their incubator, by mistake of their
doctors. Dr. De Juan will treat them at the University of San Francisco. Our prayers
will help as will donations to help with medical and travel expenses.

Miroslav Gospel will be exhibited on 24 October
24. October 2013 - 13:21The Miroslav Gospel, the oldest preserved Serbian Cyrillic manuscript, will be exhibited on 24 October at the National Museum, within the exhibition "Vows and Messages. Stefan Nemanja - Nine Centuries"
Gospels will be exhibited from 12 until 20 hours. It was created in 80s of the XII century by the order of Hum´s prince Miroslav, about which the record on the last page of the book. Prince Miroslav was the brother of the Grand Prince Stefan Nemanja of Ras (Rascia) and this exhibition is dedicated to the 900th anniversary of the birth of Grand Prince.
