Serbian Patriarch meets with Milorad Dodik, President of Republika Srpska

President of the Republic of Srpska Mr. Milorad Dodik met with His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch on 20 April 2013 in Banjaluka. President of the Republic of Srpska emphasized that cooperation of the institutions of the Republic of Srpska and the Serbian Orthodox Church was very good, and there were ways to extend further this cooperation. One way is with joint forces of the states and the Church, more attention to focus on the construction of schools, kindergartens and geriatric centers.

Gathering of the priesthood of Diocesan Deanery of Belgrade-Posavina

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, served on 19 April 2013 the Divine Liturgy of Presanctified Gifts in the church of Saint Basil of Ostrog on Bezanijska Kosa. The occasion of this liturgical gathering was the confession and  a brotherly meeting of the clergy of Diocesan Deanery of Belgrade-Posavina

City of Belgrade Award Ceremony

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, attended on 16 April 2013 at the Belgrade City Hall the traditional annual award ceremony of the City of Belgrade. Besides presidents of the municipalities, members of assembly and directors of the public enterprizes who attended the ceremony which opened the Days of Belgrade, His Grace Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno, Vicar to the Serbian Patriarch, was present also.

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch received His Grace Bishop Dr. Franja of Banja Luka accompanied by Vicar general of Belgrade Archbishop f. Leopold Rochmes on 15 April 2013 at the Serbian Patriarchate.

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch met with Mr. Zoran Marinkovic, Consul General of the Republic of Serbian in Australia, on 16 April 2013.

Serbian Patriarch visits Seminary of Sts. Cyrill and Methodius in Nis

On Saturday, 13 April 2013, the Seminary of Sts. Cyrill and Methodius in Nis hosted the meeting regarding the Sima Igumanov Endownment. His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, chaired this meeting. His Holiness was welcomed at the Seminary by the host, His Grace Bishop Dr Jovan of Nis, along with the dean of the Seminary protopresbyter-stavrophor Milutin Timotijevic, as well as professors and pupils of this high school institution of our Church. His Grace Bishop Teodosije of Raska-Prizren also attended the meeting.

Serbian Patriarch Irinej at the opening of the Historical Museum of Serbia

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch attended on 12 April 2013  the solemn opening of the restored Museum of History of Serbia, in which the exhibition “The Karadjordjevics and the Obrenovics in the collections of Historical Museum of Serbia”  was set up. The restored space of the Historical Museum of Serbia was opened by President of Serbia Mr. Tomislav Nikolic, who presented to this significant national institution the Order of Sretenje of the Third Degree for special merits in the field of cultural activities, and on the occasion of 50 years of existence and the successful work.
