Serbian Patriarch Porfirije ina cordial conversation with the Mayor of Belgrade emphasized the importance of cooperation between the Serbian Orthodox Church, but also other traditional churches and religious communities, with the city authorities for the benefit of all residents of the capital city.
Serbian Patriarch receives Mayor of Novi Sad
28. April 2021 - 7:16His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch received Mr. Milos Vucevic, Mayor of Novi Sad at the Serbian Patriarchate on 27 April 2021.
In a cordial conversation, the Patriarch and the Mayor reviewed the fruitful personal and official cooperation so far, which has always been for the good of the Church and the community. Special attention is paid to the continuation of support to the Humanitarian Fund Privrednik, which helps educate young and gifted students and students whose families are not able to provide them with continuing school and higher education, and which is managed by His Holiness Patriarch.
Bishop Siluan's Archpastoral visit to Queensland

April 2021 - 9:50Canonical visit to Queensland of His Grace Bishop Siluan of Australia and New Zealand began on April 16, 2021, with the Second Vigil in the church of St. Nicholas in Wacol, where a large number of believers gathered to offer prayers to the Most Holy Mother of God together with their archpastor.
The next day, April 17, 2021, Bishop Siluan served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the Church Community of the Assumption of the Most Holy Mother of God on the Gold Coast. On that occasion, the Bishop consecrated the renovated Parish House and ordained Mr. Luka Draskovicto the rank of reader.
Patriarch Porfirije attended the service in the chapel of the Faculty of Theology
27. April 2021 - 9:03In the evening hours of April 26, 2021, on Holy Monday, His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch took part in a prayer during the service in the chapel of St. John the Theologian at the Orthodox Theological Faculty of the University of Belgrade.
Bishop Joanikije:The content of the Fundamental Agreement will be known after signing

April 2021 - 15:27His Grace Bishop Joanikije of Budimlje-Niksic and the Administrator of the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral announced that the content of the Fundamental Agreement between the Serbian Orthodox Church and the state of Montenegro will be known to the public when it is signed.
Bishop Joanikije explained in an interview with Vijesti TV Station that the same procedure was followed when concluding agreements with other churches and religious communities.
Patriarch Porfirije: Man cannot draw his life from transcience, but exclusively from communion with God

Thus, the Lord Christ showed that God created man in his image and likeness as a free being, so that man could freely respond to the infinite love and mercy of God, said Patriarch Porfirije.
His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the Cathedral Church in Belgrade, on April 25, 2021, on the feast of the Entry of the Lord Jesus Christ into Jerusalem.
