Patriarch Porfirije: We agreed with Prime Minister Krivokapic regarding the Agreement

On 22 April 2021 His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch stated that he agreed with Prime Minister of Montenegro Mr. Zdravko Krivokapic in regard to signing the Fundamental Agreement between the state of Montenegro and the Serbian Orthodox Church, as well as that it was agreed in principle that he would go to Montenegro after the Easter holidays and sign that document.

The Patriarch Porfirije told the Tanjug agency that he is deeply convinced that the signing of the Fundamental Agreement between the Serbian Orthodox Church and the state of Montenegro, on the basis of which the state's relationship with the Serbian Orthodox Church in Montenegro will be regulated, will put an end to misunderstandings on the matter.

Return of the sculpture "Sima Igumanov with orphans"

Patriarch Porfirije: Endowment is one of the greatest virtues of many sons of the Serbian Orthodox people. The Prizren Seminary is maintained with funds provided by the Sima Igumanov Endowment, and 300 pupils and students from Kosovo and Metohija have received scholarships.

- After the erection of the monument to Stefan Nemanja and Despot Stefan Lazarevic, Belgrade welcomed the return of the renewed sculpture "Sima Igumanov with orphans" to the Palace Igumanov. We return to our history, culture and tradition, as well as the memory of our endowments. It is no longer an incident or an attempt, but our policy. Returning the sculpture to where it belongs is proof that Belgrade values ​​its history and culture, the deputy mayor pointed out. Vesic reminded her that the endowments left their wealth to their state, nation and poor children, and that Sima Igumanov was in the lead.

Bishop Arsenije of Nis attended the military exercise „Response 2021“ at Pasuljanske Livade

His Grace Arsenije, Bishop of Nis and to the Forces, attended joint tactical exercise "Response 2021" at Pasuljanske Livade.

His Grace visited also the worship space in field conditions, which was organized by the military chaplain of the 3rd Brigade, Lieutenant Ivan Ganic, and with the assistant from the 31st Infantry Battalion, senior sergeant of the first class Milan Cvetkovic, in order to fulfill the religious needs of the participants in the military exercise.

Serbian Patriarch receives the Head of the OSCE Mission to the Republic of Serbia

His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch received His Excellency Jan Braathu, Head of the OSCE Mission to the Republic of Serbia, at the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade, on April 19, 2021.

Serbian Patriarch Porfirije during the meeting with Braathu emphasized the importance of interfaith dialogue as a way to achieve and preserve peaceful and harmonious coexistence, pointing out that the Serbian Orthodox Church is always ready to discuss solving problems that are obstacles to peace and cooperation in the region.

Serbian Patriarch receives Ambassador of Belarus

His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch received His Excellency Valery Brilev, Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Serbia at the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade, on 15 April 2021.

The cordial conversation between Patriarch Porfirije and Ambassador Brilev emphasized the importance of maintaining fraternal relations between Serbs and Belarusians, which have always been decorated with examples of mutual understanding, respect, and solidarity.

Bishop Vasilije of Srem served in Fenek Monastery

On the 5th Sunday of Easter Lent, 18 April 2021, Bishop Vasilije of Srem officiated the solemn Liturgy in the Fenek Monastery.

The Bishop was concelebrated by Archimandrite of Fenek Makarije, Diocesan dean of Zemun archpriest Strahinja Golijan, parish priest of Batajnica protonamesnik Radoje Vesic, parish priest of Dobanovac presbyter Bojan Vesic, hierodeacon Marko of Fenek and deacon Goran Vlasac.
