Serbian Patriarch receives Archbishop of Belgrade

This was the first official visit of Archbishop Hovecar who congratulated Patriarch Porfirije the election and the enthronement to the throne of the primates of the Serbian Orthodox Church, expressing his dedication to the development of the friendly relations between the Roman Catholic Church and the Serbian Orthodox Church.

Ambassador Davidoiu informed Patriarch Porfirio about the excellent cooperation between the Republic of Romania and the Republic of Serbia, emphasizing that she is happy that the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Romanian Orthodox Church enjoy a reputation of the highest trust among the people.
Serbian Patriarch receives Ambassador of Ukraine

Serbian Patriarch welcomed Ambassador Alexandrovich and spoke warmly about the closeness of Serbs and Ukrainians. Ambassador Alexandrovich also pointed out several examples of historical, cultural and religious ties between the two fraternal peoples, emphasizing the participation of Ukrainian soldiers in the KFOR mission in Kosovo and Metohija, where, among other things, they were engaged in securing Serbian Orthodox shrines.
