On the occasion of 97th anniversary of the First World War, His Grace Vicar Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno served yesterday in front of the Monument to the Russian Soldiers at the New cemetary in Belgrade a memorial service for the glorious heroes fallen for freedom of the Russian and Serbian people. This prayerful remembrance on soldiers of the First World War was organized by the Embassy of the Russian  Federation in Belgrade and other Russian institutions in Serbia.

Within the official visit to the Diocese of Budimlje-Niksic His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch served on Sunday, July 31, on the feast day of St. martyr Aemilian, the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the Cathedral church of St. Basil of Ostrog in Niksic.

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch served the Divine Liturgy in the Cathedral Church of St. Basil of Ostrog in Niksic, with the concelebration of His Eminence  Amfilohije Archbishop of Cetinje and Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral and Their Graces Bishops - retired Atanasije of Herzegovina, Jovan of Sumadija, Joanikije of Budimlje-Niksic, Grigorije of Zahumlje-Herzegovina, newly-elected Jovan of Nis and newly-elected Jovan of Lipljan.

Tonight in a canonical visit to the Diocese of Budimlje-Niksic His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch arrived in the Djurdjevi Stupovi monastery, the seat of the Diocese of Budimlje-Niksic. The Patriarch was welcomed at the monastery Djurdjevi Stupovi, the seat of the Diocese of Budimlje-Niksic was welcomed by His Grace Bishop Joanikije of Budimlje-Niksic with many priests of hierarchal regency of Berane-Andrijevica, monks of the Monastery and faithful people, who fulfilled the courtyard of the ancient Nemanjic's endowment.
