Cathedral church of Transfiguration of the Lord in Zagreb solemnly celebrated its church slava. The celebration began with a service of the vesper on the Eve of the feast day, and it was served by Metropolitan Jovan of Zagreb-Ljubljana. He was concelebrated by the priests of Zagreb. Next day, on the feast day of the Transfiguration of the Lord Metropolitan Jovan served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy with the concelebration of seven priests and two deacons of our Metropolitanate.
Transfiguration of the Lord in Trebinje

The Transfuguration of the Lord, the Patron Saint's Day of the Cathedral Church and the city of Trebinje also this year was solemnly celebrated. On the Eve of the feast day a holiday joy could be felt in the city which was full of guests, who came on this occasion from many parts of the country and abroad. On the very same evening the vesper service was served with holy bread tray, which was served by His Grace Bishop Grigorije of Zahumlje-Herzegovina with priests and guests.
Metropolitan Hilarion meets with Patriarch Ignatios of Antioch

On August 20, 2011, His Beatitude Ignatios IV, Patriarch of Great Antioch and All the East, received in audience Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate’s department for external church relations, who came to Syria for a working visit with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia. In a warm and cordial talk, which took place at the Patriarchate of Antioch, they discussed the bilateral relations between the two Patriarchates and some topical problems concerning the life of Universal Orthodoxy.
Patron Saint's Day of Banjska Monastery

In the Banjska monastery the monastery slava was solemnly celebrated - the transfer of the relics of Saint Great Martyr and Archdeacon Stefan. The Divine Liturgy was served by His Grace Bishop Teodosije of Raska-Prizren and Kosovo-Metohija with the concelebration of twenty priests: protopresbyter-staurophors Radivoje Panic and Miljko Koricanin from Belgrade, heugomen and hieromonks of Kosovo-metohija's and Raska's monasteris as well as priests of the regencies of Mitrovica and Novipazar.

Today at the premises of the Federation of Jewish Communities in Belgrade the press conference was held where the representatives of the traditional Churches and religious communities in Serbia pointed at many issues with the restitution of the illegally seized property of the Churches and religious communities in Serbia. On this occasion lots of press representatives were addressed by His Grace Bishop Irinej of Backa, Archbishop of Belgrade Mr. Stanislav Hocevar, President of the Federation of the Jewish Communities Mr. Aleksandar Necak and the lawyer who represents the Churches and religious communities in the process of the restitution Mr. Miroslav Nikolic. Celebration of Saint Angelina on Fruska Gora

In an uninterrupted continuity our Holy Church for five thousand years prayerfully remembers Saint Angelina of Serbia. Also this year, in front of her holy relics under the arches of the monastery Krusedol numerous people gathered with their priests and monks to receive her blessing.
