Serbian Patriarch IRINEJ served in St. Jovan Vladimir in Belgrade

June 2010 - 17:43His Holiness IRINEJ, Archbishop of Pec, Metropolitan of Belgrade-Karlovci and Serbian Patriarch served this morning, in the first week of the Apostolic Lent, the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the St. Jovan Vladimir church in Belgrade. His Holiness was concelebrated by protopresbyter-staurophor Risto Peric, presbyter Dragan Sovljanski - head of the church, protodeacons Tomislav Milanovic and Stevan Rapajic and deacon Dragan Tanasijevic.
During the Holy Liturgy Patriarch IRINEJ gave the communion to lots of children and believers, and in the suitable sermon reminded the people on the significance of the lent for the salvation and the great part of Holy King Jovan Vladimir in the Serbian history.
Monks of the monastery Simonopetra of Holy Mount Athos in the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade

June 2010 - 16:01After pilgrimage to the Diocese of Raska-Prizren monks of the Simonopetra monastery from the Holy Mount Athos led by archimandrite Elisaios visited today the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade. His Holiness IRINEJ, Serbian Patriarch received them, and there were also present His Grace Bishop Irinej of Bachka, member of the Holy Synod of Bishops and two Vicar Bishops Porfirije and Atanasije.
Protosyngellos Simeon Vilovski deprived of the monastic status and office and excluded from the church community

June 2010 - 23:54The Church Court of the Diocese of Budimlje-Niksic on its session on May 22 in Berane reached a verdict by which protosyngellos Simeon (Vilovski), ex-head of the monastery of Banjska, was deprived of the office and monastic rank and brought back among laymen with a secular name Dejan [1] and excluded from the church community in three years.

June 2010 - 12:51Today at the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade His Holiness IRINEJ, Archbishop of Pec, Metropolitan of Belgrade-Karlovci and Serbian Patriarch received in an official visit the delegation of the Government of the Republic of Serbia led by Dr Mirko Cvetkovic, Prime Minister, on the occasion of the return of the church records taken from the Serbian Orthodox Church in 1946.
Fourth International Conference on Orthodox Church Music Announced
