Saint Patron's Day of the chapel of St. Simeon the Myrrh-gusher at Patriarchate court in Belgrade

On Thursday, February 25, 2010, beginning at 5 p.m. Grand compline with Five-bread vessel and Morning service will be served in the chapel of St. Simeon the Myrrh-gusher at the Serbian Patriarchate court in Belgrade.

Tomorrow, on Friday of Second week of Lent, on February 26, 2010, commencing at 9 a.m. His Holiness Patriarch Irinej of Serbia will serve Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts with the concelebration of Bishops of our Holy Church. The choir of the First Belgrade Singing Society will sing.

Bishop Atanasije and Bishop Artemije visit Gračanica abbess in hospital in Laplje Selo

Today Bishop Atanasije, the Administrator of the Diocese of Raska-Prizren and Kosovo-Metohija, together with Bishop Artemije and two presbyters visited the ailing abbess of Gračanica Monastery, Mother Efrosinija, in hospital in Laplje Selo near Gračanica. Mother Efrosinija welcomed the bishops with great gratitude and thanked them for their visit.

Bishop Atanasije visits soup kitchens in Vitina and Novo Brdo regions, donation to Health Center in Gračanica

Today (February 23) the Administrator of the Diocese of Raška-Prizren and Kosovo-Metohija, His Grace Bishop Atanasije visited the soup kitchens in the Vitina and Novo Brdo regions accompanied by presbytera Svetlana Stević, the president of the NGO "Majka devet Jugovića" (Mother of the Nine Jugoviches), who runs the soup kitchens.

SOYA in Sydney

Last weekend, a group of young Serbs from Melbourne arrived in Sydney. They were there as representatives of SOYA (Serbian Orthodox Youth Association), and were travelling in order to promote Boris Malagurski's documentary film 'Kosovo: Can You Imagine?'. An account of the screening itself will be available for perusal in the next issue of the Srpski Glas, whilst we will use this opportunity to tell you a little bit about some of the unofficial reasons for our visit to Sydney.

Delivery of dental apparatus to health center in Gracanica

After returning from Novo Brdo Bishop Atanasije, together with Archimandrite Elie Ragot of the Monastère de la Transfiguration, Terrasson, France, and two other French Orthodox persons delivered a dental x-ray machine to the Gračanica Health Center. The apparatus was donated by Dr. Jérôme Galoup from France.
