Patriarch Kirill of Russia to pay his first foreign visit to Kiev

Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill will pay his first foreign visit to Ukraine. "I would like to visit the mother of Russian cities - Kiev, our ancient capital and the center of Russian Orthodoxy," Patriarch Kirill told the Rossiya TV channel.

Serbian Orthodox Church is concerned about the suggestion of the new Statute of the AP of Vojvodina

The Holy Synod of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church,regarding the suggestion of the new Statute of AP of Vojvodina, addressed to Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic, the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, which letter we convey here in whole, expressing serious concern for the sovereignty and the territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia.

For the same reason, the letter was also sent to the President of the Republic of Serbia and the Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Serbia.

Blessing of Metropolitan Amfilohije for the start of the work of the Commission for research and collecting Serbian manuscripts

On behalf of the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church and His Holiness Patriarch Pavle of Serbia, His Eminence Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral received today at the Patriarchate Court members of the Commission for research and collecting Serbian manuscripts in foreign libraries, monasteries, collections... The members of the Commissions are M.Sc.  Zoran Nedeljkovic, the President of the Commission; Dr Branislav Todic; Dr Zoran Rankovic; M.Sc. Zoran Rakic; M.Sc. Zorana Spadijer and M.Sc. Vladan Trijic.

Division of the state property is a new attack on the church property

Metropolitanate of Dabro-Bosnia of the Serbian Orthodox Church is annoyingly surprised and resentful at the newest attack on its property, which was illegally dispossessed by the communist regime, and the surprise and resentfulness is greater because it is being done by those who were supposed to and are expected to help in returning the seized property.

Holy Patriarch Kyrill of Moscow and All Russia received a delegation of the Serbian Orthodox Church on February 3, 2009. The delegation led by Metropolitan Amfilohije of the Montenegro and the Littoral consisted of Archbishop Jovan of Ohrid and Metropolitan of Skopje, Bishop Vasilije of Zvornik and Tuzla, a representative of the SOC at the Moscow Patriarchate vicar Bishop Antonije of Moravica, the administrator of the Pordvorye of the Moscow Patriarchate in Belgrade Vitaly Tarasjev and presbyter Nebojsa Topolic, an officer of the Serbian Patriarchate.

Patriarchate Delegation Returns from Moscow to Tbilisi

The delegation of the Georgian Patriarchate returned from Moscow back to Tbilisi. All five members of the delegation express their satisfaction with productive meetings in the capital of Russia. The representative of the Georgian Patriarchate state that all existed links and relations will be kept and collaboration between Russian and Georgian churches will be continues in the future. "Unlike Russian government authorities, Russian Church recognizes the sovereignty and integrity of Georgia", state the priests.
