Interfax - The Russian Orthodox Church is concerned with the future of Orthodox
shrines in Kosovo as the region unilaterally declared its independence.
When asked by the Vesti TV channel if there is a danger to lose them in
result of Kosovo's independence, head of the Moscow Patriarchate Department for
External Church Relations Metropolitan Kirill said: "Sure, there is such a
danger."
Threatening Graffiti in the Diocese in Sibenik (Croatia)
28. February 2008 - 14:36Unknown perpetrators have written threatening graffiti of neo-nazi and ustasha contents on the Orthodox Diocese in Sibenik (Croatia).
Threatening messages such as "Hang the Serbs'', "NDH ''(Nezavisna Drzava Hrvatska = Independent State of Croatia during WWII, translator's note), "Vukovar'', as well as the letter "U'' (for ustasha, t. n.) and swastikas appeared on approx. 10 meters of the stone wall located in front of the Diocese's yard.
Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev Visits Saint Sava’s Church

February 2008 - 10:55The Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Mr. Dmitry Medvedev, and the Minsiter of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Mr. Sergej Lavrov, are on an official vist to Serbia. In the afternoon, Mr. Medvedev visited the Church of Saint Sava on the Vracar Plateau.
The Church of Saint Sava’s official web presentation site refers to Mr. Medvedev’s stressing that the Russian high ranking delegation’s visit to Serbia shows Russia’s wish to support Serbia, not only politically and spiritually, but economically, as well.
