The first ambulance service in the Romanian Patriarchate was inaugurated in Bistrița

The first ambulance service of the Archdiocese of Vad, Feleac and Cluj was inaugurated on Tuesday, 08 December 2015, in Bistrița city, as Renașterea Radio informs. The unique project of the Romanian Patriarchate was founded by the Orthodox Philanthropy Association, and will provide transportation for the ill persons, who are not in a critical state, as Rev Fr. Marius Pintican, the president of the Association, explained: “We try to perfect the activity of our medical services in Bistrița-Năsăud County, through the medical services that we have been carrying out for two years. The service will serve the patients, who do not require specialized care, it will specifically support people who intent to be hospitalized and do not require intense medical supervision”.

On Saturday, the 22nd of November/5th of December 2015, f. Theodosios Mahouli, Mr Basam, Chairman, and members of the Council of the Greek-Orthodox Arabic-Speaking Community of Kufr Yaseef in Northern Israel, visited the Patriarchate. They were welcomed by H.B. Theophilos, Patriarch of Jerusalem, and spoke with Him for issues and problems facing their Community. The Patriarch offered His advice and promised to provide help, both moral and tangible, towards having their needs met and their problems resolved.
