The Metropolitan of Germany will not celebrate his name day

He will attend the prayer at the Divine Liturgy, which will be held in memory of St. Augustine, Bishop of Hippo, at the Church of the Assumption of the Savior in Berlin.

“I highly recommend and advise our Russian citizens not to go abroad until it becomes entirely safe,” the head of the Synodal Department for External Church Relations, Metropolitan Hilarion, said on Church and the World program on Rossiya-24 TV.

Bishop Silvester of Eastern Uganda in Stable Condition After Serious Car Accident on Feast of Pentecost
9. June 2020 - 19:41His Grace Bishop Silvester of Gulu and Eastern Uganda of the Patriarchate of Alexandria was involved in a serious car accident after serving Divine Liturgy for the feast of Pentecost yesterday, reports the site of the Uganda Orthodox Church.
Bp. Silvester and those with him are all in stable condition and being closely monitored by medical personnel.
