Governor of Sinai to monks of St. Catherine’s Monastery: We are by your side
22. March 2020 - 22:30The Governor of the South Sinai, Khaled Fouda, expressed his support to the monks of St. Catherine’s monastery in Sinai and stressed that all authorities would be by the side of the Greek Orthodox monastery.
The adviser of Governor Khaled Fouda, Antonis Kazamias, conveyed the message of the greatest philhellene in Egypt. In his message, the Governor of Sinai said that he was rather satisfied with the fact that the Monastic Brotherhood, led by Archbishop Damianos of Sinai, was the first to stop accepting pilgrims during church services, which were being performed behind closed doors.
