Memorial Saturday in the Cathedral church in Belgrade

On Memorial Saturday before Pentecost, 6 June 2020, His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch celebrated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy at tthe Cathedral church of Holy Archangel Michael in Belgrade.

The Patriarch was concelebrated by protopresbyter-staurophor Petar Lukic, presbyter Slavisa Popovic and protodeacon Damjan Bozic. The clergy of the Cathedral church and students of the Faculty of Orthodox Theology of the University of Belgrade sang responses. Following the Liturgy, a memorial service for the founders, contributors, benefactors, priests and parishioners of the Cathedral church. 

Court Hearing of Bishop Joanikije and Priests Who Participated in Procession to Be Held June 19 in Montenegro

The court hearing in the case of His Grace Bishop Joanikije of Budimlye and Niksic of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Montenegro and eights priests of his diocese will be held June 19 in the city of Niksic.

The clerics are accused of violating article 287 of the Montenegrin criminal code on violations of measures against the spread of infectious diseases. Bishop Joanikije is the first Serbian hierarch of the 21st century to be arrested in Montenegro, the Metropolis highlights.

Procession in Bar, Montenegro, in honor of St. John Vladimir

After the evening service and acathystos to the Most Holy Mother of God in the church of St. John Vladimir in Bar, a traditional procession was organized in honor of this heavenly patron of that seaside place along the streets of the city under the Rumija mountain on June 4, 2020.

The procession, in which several thousand residents of Bar participated, was headed by the clergy of the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral.

Church dedication feast of the Vozdovac church celebrated with the Patriarchal Liturgy

The Patron Saint-day (slava) of the church of Holy Emperor Constantine and Helen, Equal-to-the-Apostles, in the Vozdovac district of Belgrade  was marked with a solemn Patriarchal Liturgy.

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, officiated the service with the concelebration of protopresbyter-staurophors Branko Topalovic and Dragomir Ubiparipovic, protopresbyter Djordje Popovic, presbyter Sladjan Vlajic, as well as deacons Veroljub Sando and Aleksandar Savic.

Serbian Bishop of Buda Lukijan presided over Eucharistic gathering in Pecs, Hungary

On 31st May 2020, on the Sunday of the Holy Fathers of the First Ecumenical Council, His Grace Bishop of Buda Lucian officiated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the Pecs Cathedral of Saints Andronicus and Junia, the enlighteners of Pannonia, on the occasion of the celebration of the patron saint of the Cathedral.

He was concelebrated by hieromonk Varnava Knezevic, parish priest of Pecs, protodeacon Milan Eric, protodeacon  Andras Strijk and deacon Stefan Milisavic.

Serbian Patriarch Irinej celebrates in the church of Holy Transfiguration of the Lord in Belgrade

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch officiated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the church of the Holy Transfiguration of the Lord on Pashino Brdo, in Belgrade.

The Patriarch was concelebrated by archpriest Dragisa Jocic, dean of the church; and Aleksandar Lukavac, presbyter Zoran Rankovic, Ph.D.; Dean of the Faculty of the Orthodox Theology of the University of Belgrade, protodeacon Stevan Rapajic and deacons  Nikola Petrovic and Dragan Simkic.
