Consecration of a Chapel and Translation of Relics in Gornje Hrasno

July 2017 - 15:38On Sunday, 2 July 2017, residents of Gornje Hrasno gathered around relics of their ancestors who suffered martyrs’ death, that were solemnly transferred to a newly built chapel dedicated to the Serbian New Martyrs next to the existing church of the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist.
Mountian climbing pilgrimage
5. July 2017 - 14:35The faithful of three of our Serbian Orthodox Churches in America are going on a mountain climbing pilgrimage to Colorado in honor of the glorification of Saint Mardarije. Two Priests will be the with them and they will serve the Divine liturgy on top of the mountain with prayer to our good and loving God to bless this country and its people as well as our much suffering Serbian people in the homeland. This trip will take place a week before the glorification on July 14-16, 2017. Pray for them.
19th Annual Vidovdan observance
5. July 2017 - 14:30The Annual Vidovdan observance was held at St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Carmichaels, Pennsylvania on Sunday, June 25, 2017. Following the Divine Liturgy, a Parastos was held for all the faithful dying in defense of the faith.
This was the nineteenth annual observance. A dinner and program were held in the church hall. Officers of the parish Executive Board spoke. Parishioners read inspirational poems and writings about the Battle of Kosovo in 1389.

July 2017 - 11:59On Sunday, June 25th, St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church of Philadelphia was blessed with an Archpastoral visit by their beloved hierarch, His Grace Bishop Irinej, as well as the new Director of Christian Education for the Eastern Diocese, Deacon Jovan Anicic. This year marked the first of what will become an annual celebration for the commemoration of Vidovdan. This event was particularly special as is marked the graduation day for the 2016-2017 church school students.
