Glorification of St. Mardarije of Libertyville and All America

It is with untold joy, that we most sincerely invite all clergy, monastics and faithful of the Diocese of Eastern America to participate in the Pan-Orthodox Glorification of the newly revealed St. Mardarije of Libertyville and All America, our first Serbian Orthodox Bishop of America and Canada, led by His Holiness the Archbishop Pech, Metropolitan Belgrade-Karlovci and Serbian Patriarch IRINEJ, which will take place as follows:

The Feast of St. Lazarus in Johnstown

The feast day of St. Lazarus of Kosovo is recorded in the minds and hearts of the believers of Saint Nicholas Church in Johnstown, PA. A beautiful, sunny ‘Vidovdan’ day was made even more beautiful by the glorious celebration of the Divine Liturgy, and the liturgical hymns sung by the faithful. Choir director Danica Wess offered her voice at the Holy Liturgy together with the help of Dianne Tomah, Patricia Neil, Dorothy Podolak, Milan Gvozdich and popadija Izvorinka. Robert Stramanak, and Gavrilo and Jovan Zaric served in the Holy Altar.

St Vitus Day in Vienna

On the feast-day of Holy Great martyr of Serbia Prince Lazar, His Grace Bishop Andrej of Austria-Switzerland officiated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the church of the Resurrection of Christ in Viena.

Vidovdan in Gracanica Monastery and at Gazimestan

His Holiness the Patriarch of the Serbian Irinej celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Gracanica Monastery on June 28, 2017, on the Vidovdan feast-day.

The Serbian Patriarch Irinej was concelebrated by His Grace Bishop Theodosije of Raska-Prizren and His Grace Atanasije,  retired  Bishop of Zaholm-Herzegovina, with the clergy and monastics of the Diocese of Raska-Prizren. With participation of a large number of faithful from all over Serbia, the Republic of Srpska and Montenegro, the Holy Liturgy was attended by the Crown Prince Alexander Karadjordjevic and Princess Katarina, Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohia Marko Djuric, representatives of the  Office for Cooperation with Churches and Religious Communities at the Ministry of Justice of Serbia and numerous representatives of Serbs from Kosovo and Metohia.

Our Saint Sava Gem in North Port

With God’s help, our wonderful Serbian Orthodox Christian faithful, under the dynamic leadership of Fr. Sasa Djurdjevic, are finally preparing to move into their lovingly built church of Saint Sava in North Port, Florida.

Church School Iconography Classes

At St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Clearwater, Florida, Protonica Teofana Zaric recently taught a number of the Church School youth how to paint Icons.  The parish-faithful found it heartwarming that the young ladies and gentlemen of the community undertook the lesson with such interest and pride.
