Biography of the new elected Bishop Jerome of Jegar

He was born in Sarajevo on 26 September 1969; it was here that he finished elementary and secondary schools.
He was tonsured in the monastery of Holy Archangels in Kovilj on 21st November 1990, ordained deacon on 27 January 1991, promoted as archdeacon on 26 July 1999. Archdeacon Jerome graduated at the Orthodox Theological Faculty in Belgrade in 2002, and the next year he was ordained as hieromonk.

On Sunday, September 7, 2014, a beautiful sunny day, Abbot Metodije of Hilandar visited New Gracanica Monastery.
The joyous spiritually uplifting day began with Hierarchical Divine Liturgy concelebrated by His Grace Bishop Longin, His Grace Bishop Mitrofan of the Eastern Diocese, Abbot Methodius and Hieromonk Alexei Altshul, Protojerej Marko Todorovic, Protojerej Milorad Loncar, Hieromonk Seraphim Baltic, Father Miroslav Obretkovic, Father Nikolaj Kostur, Father Sinisa Hrvacevic, Hierodeacon Sergei Puskar, Protodeacon Milovan Gogic, and Deacon Nenad Jakovljevic.
Cincinnati Church School - Off to a Great Start!

On Sunday, September 7, 2014 many children gathered for the beginning of church school at St. George Church. This year we expanded our efforts and reached out to as many interested volunteers as possible to assist with the instruction of church school. From Father’s initial request for volunteers, we had many parishioners respond – willing to devote their time and their talents to the betterment of the church and a strong investment in the children of the parish. Dr. Slobodan and Eileen Stanišić, who have for years volunteered their time to instruct our youth during church school, were joined this year by new teachers/volunteers:
Slava of St George Carmichaels

The Kolo of the St.George Serbian Orthodox Church in Carmichaels, Pennsylvania celebrates the Dormition of the Mother of God as the Sisters' Slava. This year the celebration occurred on Sunday, August 31 with the Divine Liturgy and blessing of the Slava Kolac and Kolijvo. Prayers were offered for the living and departed Kolo members. A dinner and program was held in the parish hall following the Divine Liturgy.
