Bishop Maxim’s Archpastoral Visit to the Synaxis of the Faithful in Seattle, WA with, Seattle is in the top 5 rainiest U.S. cities by number of precipitations days, and it gets the least amount of annual sunlight of all major cities in the lower-48 states.  This city experiences moderate to heavy rain during the months of November, December, and January. However, during this last Archpastoral visit of His Grace our Bishop Maxim to his humble flock and parish dedicated to St. Sava, we had sunny and crisp weekend.

Celebration of Patron Saint-day of doctors in Belgrade

With the blessing of His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, His Grace Bishop Jovan of Ulpiana served yesterday, on the feast day of Sts. Cosmas and Damian the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the chapel of Holy Unmercenaries at the Clinical Centre of Serbia

The Bishop cut the slava cake along with the general director of the Clinical Centre, staff, patients, guests and the faithful. By congratulating the slava, Bishop Jovan conveyed the blessing of His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch. In his sermon he reminded the present of the life of Holy Unmercenaries who were healing the sick with the God's help without expecting any reward.

Fifty-Ninth Anniversary of the consecration of Saint George Church

His Grace Bishop Dr. MITROPHAN came to the St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Carmichaels, Pennsylvania on Sunday November 3, 2013 to celebrate the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy. When the Diocesan Bishop comes to the parish to celebrate the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy, the fullness of the Church is joyously experienced. Sunday, November 3, 2013 was a special day at St. George Church.

Annual Banquet in New York City 2013

On Saturday, November 2, the Cathedral Board, Fr. Djokan and Church Stewards held their annual fundraising banquet, dedicated to the gathering of funds for the restoration of the St. Sava Center. Because seating was limited, only 130 guests could be accommodated, although a number of people requested tickets. The dais was graced by HRH Prince Alexander and HRH Princess Katherine, Consul General of Serbia, Mirjana Zivkovic, Director of the Washington, DC Office of Republika Srpska, Obrad Kesich, V. Rev. Fr. Alexandar Vlajkovic (Boston) and V. Rev. Fr. Velisa Vasic (Stockholm, Sweden).

Head of EU Delegation meets with Serbian Patriarch

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch received on 12 November 2013 at the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade Mr. Michael Davenport,  Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia, with associates. His Grace Bishop Andrej of Remesiana attended the meeting, as well.
