Divine Liturgy in Mirijevo

His Grace Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno on the feast day of Venerable Maxim the Confessor, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the church of Saint Pantaleon in Belgrade’s suburb of Mirijevo.

Celebration of Liberation Day of the city of Vranje

On the occasion of marking the Day of liberation of the Turks of the town of Vranje in 1878, on the feast day of Saints Athanasius the Great, Cyril of Alexandria and Maxim the Serbian Archbishop, on 31 January 2013,  Bishop Pahomije of Vranje celebrated the Divine Liturgy with clergy of Vranje at the Cathedral church of Holy Trinity. The Divine Liturgy was attended by Mr. Zoran Antic,Mayor of Vranje with associates and members of 4th Brigade of the Serbian Armed Forces led by its Commander Colonel Zoran Lubura. Following the Divine Liturgy, Bishop Pahomije served the memorial service to leaders and soldiers, led by General Jovan Belimarkovic, who gave their lives for the precious cross and the fatherland while liberating Vranje.

Saint Athanasius the Great celebrated at Tvrdoš Monastery

On the feast day of Saint Athanasius the Great at the Tvrdoš monastery, Bishop Jovan of Lipljan and retired Bishop Atanasije of Zahumlje-Hercegovina served the Holy Hiearchal Liturgy with the concelebration of the local priests.

The clergy and monks of the Diocese, as well as the faithful gathered to congratulate the name day to Bishop Atanasije.

Patron Saint-day of bakers of Belgrade

His Grace Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno, Vicar to Serbian Patriarch, cut the slava cake of the members of the Union of Bakers of Serbia and Belgrade. A number of representatives of the baker's guild attended the slava rite.

Bishop Mitrophan celebrates feast of Saint Sava in Boston Parish

The children of the Boston parish honored St. Sava by celebrating his day (Savindan) along with the church’s patron Saint’s day on Sunday, January 27th.  They delivered an inspirational and delightful program for the parish with His Grace Bishop Mitrophan in attendance.

On the occasion of the feast day of Saint Sava, School Day and School slava, on Sunday, 27 January 2013, the solemn Academy was held at the Jovan Jovanovic Zmaj high school in Novi Sad.
