Historical day for Serbian people

Remains of King Peter II of Yugoslavia arrived yesterday to Fatherland. Memorial service celebrated by Serbian Patriarch Irinej. 

The casket of HM King Peter II of Yugoslavia arrived yesterday at Belgrade Airport Nikola Tesla. The grandson of King Peter II, HRH Prince Alexander (grandson) accompanied the casket on the King Peter II last flight home.

On Monday, 14 January 2013, when the feast of the Circumcision of Our Lord Jesus Christ was celebrated, and the memory of Saint Basil the Great and the New Year according to the Julian calendar, parish priests of the Vienna's church of the Resurrection of Christ, with their parishioners arranged a solemn New Year's reception for friends of the church.

Delegations of the Ecumenical and Serbian Patriarchates arrived together to Constantinople.

His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew arranged on 14 January 2013 an audience for the Serbian delegation. On this occasion Serbian Patriarch Irinej visited two significant shrines of the ancient Imperial City – the church of the Most Holy Mother of God -''Pammakaristos'' and the church of the Most Holy Mother of God of Vlacherna.

Christianity in Niš Throughout Centuries

The exhibition entitled Christianity in Niš throughout Centuries was opened at the Synagogue gallery in Niš on 10 January 2013. Besides the high dignitaries of the city of Niš, there was also present His Grace Bishop Jovan of Niš, who delivered the welcome speech.
