Sunday of Orthodoxy in the Monastery of Saint John Chrysostom in Bitola

His Beatitude Archbishop of Ohrid and Metropolitan of Skopje Kyr Jovan celebrated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the Stauropegic monastery of Saint John Chrysostom in Bitola on 21 March 2021, on Sunday of Orthodoxy. 

The official visit of President of the Parliament of the Republic of Austria to Bishop Andrej

His Grace Bishop Andrej of Austria-Switzerland received Mr. Wolfgang Sobotka, the President of the Austrian National Council with a delegation at the Seat of the Diocese in Vienna, on 19 March 2021.

In front of the Cathedral church Bishop Andrej welcomed the high guest and wished him cordial welcome. During the audience which was held in the solemn salon of the Diocese, President Sobotka and Bishop Andrej exchanged thoughts on all important topics from the public and political life, about conditions of the work of the Serbian Church in Austria, interfaith dialogue and current events concerning the life of the Serbian people in Vienna and the Republic of Austria. 

Minister Selakovic visits Metropolitan Hrizostom

His Eminence Metropolitan Hrizostom of Dabar-Bosnia received Mr. Nikola Selakovic, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia on 17 March 2021. 

During the official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Minister Selakovic visited also the Cathedral church in Sarajevo, and then he was also in the building of the Metropolitanate cordially welcomed and greeted by Metropolitan Hrizostom of Dabar-Bosnia.  

Bishop Dositej visited the Office for Cooperation with the Diaspora

The Director of the Office for Cooperation with the Diapsora and Serbs in the Region Mr. Arnaud Guillon met with His Grace Bishop Dositej of Britain and Scandinavia. 

Director Guillon and Bishop Dositej  talked about the needs of the Serbian diaspora in those countries, about the possibilities of cooperation, and the Bishop conveyed the plan of the Diocese to establish a Serbian library in Sweden.

Liturgical gathering in Lelic on the day when Holy Bishop Nikolaj reposed in the Lord

In memory of the death of Holy Bishop Nikolaj in the Lelic monastery, his endowment and his father Dragomir, the Holy Liturgy was served, which was officiated by the head of that family, Abbot Georgije, with the concelebration of the priests from Valjevo.

Following the Holy Liturgy, Diocesan dean of Bishop of Valjevo, protonamesnik FIlip Jakovljevic, broke the slava cake. This 2021 it is 65 years since Holy Bishop Nikolaj reposed in the Lord, and 140 years since his birth and 30 years since the translation of his holy relics to the endowment which he built together with Father Dragomir in the homeland  in honor of his heavenly protecyor Saint Nicholas of Myra. 

Patriarch Porfirije Consecrates Holy Cross for Royal Chapel of Saint Andrew the First Called

In the presence of Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine, His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Porfirije consecrated the restored Holy Cross that adorns the dome of the Royal Chapel of St. Andrew the First-Called, patron saint of the Karadjordjevic family.

After the consecration of the Holy Cross, Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine had a long conversation with the Patriarch on a number of current topics and issues of interest to the nation and the Church.
