Feast day in Monastery of the Dormition of the Holy Mother of God in Djunis

On the fifth Sunday of the Holy Lent in Djunis, His Grace Bishop Arsenije of Nis served the Holy Liturgy of Saint Basil the Great in the monastery of the Dormition of the Most Holy Mother of God in Djunis.

The Bishop was concelebrated by Archimandrite Prokopije (Tajap), cleric of the Patriarchate of Antioch, archpriest Bratislav Vukicevic, Diocesan Dean of Aleksinac; protopresbyter-staurophor Ljubisa Nedeljkovic, retired parish priest; presbyter Marko Nikolic, parish priest of Vlasotince; hierodeacon Nikolaj Jocic and deacon Djordje Filipovic.

The Diocesan Council held a session in Zagreb

The Patriarch in Zagreb celebrated the second great Vigil service, when he read Akathist to the Most Holy Mother of God.

His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch, the administrator fo the Diocese of Zagreb-Ljubljana served a prayer of supplication in the Cathedral church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Zagreb before the regular annual session of the Diocesan Council.

His Holiness Patriarch Kirill meets Serbian minister of foreign affairs

On April 16, 2021, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia met with Serbia’s minister of foreign affairs Nikola Selaković, at the patriarchal and synodal residence in the St. Daniel Monastery.

They were joined by Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate Department for External Church Relations (DECR) and Archpriest Nikolay Balashov, DECR vice-chairman.

The renovation of the Cathedral church in Zagreb has begun

Preparations are underway for the beginning of works on the building of the Church Community

On April 14, 2021, the first phase of works on the renovation of the Church of the Transfiguration in Zagreb began, which was severely damaged in last year's earthquake (March 22). Emergency rehabilitation is performed according to the project of prof. Josip Galic and the architectural bureau Radionica statike, while the works are performed by the company Texo Molior.
