Sunday of the Veneration of the Cross at Cathedral church in Novi Sad

Bishop Dr. Irinej of Backa:  Епископ бачки др Иринеј: „Christ saves the world and man with His Cross and His Resurrection. By participating in His Cross, by which He saves us, we also participate in His Resurrection - it becomes our Resurrection.''

On Sunday of the Veneration of the Cross, 4 April 2021, His Grace Bishop Dr Irinej of Backa officiated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy with the concelebration of His Grace Bishop Isihije of Mohacs, clergy of the Diocese of Backa and deacons of Novi Sad at the Cathedral church in Novi Sad. 

Sunday of the Veneration of the Cross in Mrkonjic Grad

His Grace Bishop Sergije of Bihac-Petrovac officiated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God in Mrkonjic Grad, on 4 April 2021, on the Sunday of the Veneration of the Cross.

The Bishop was concelebrated by protopresbyter-staurophor Savo Jankovic, Diocesan dean of Jajci-Mrkonjic Grad, presbyter Aleksandar Bjelicic, parish of Mrkonjic Grad; and protodeacon Nemanja Reljic.

The clergy and faithful of the Western American Diocese are grateful to God for the safe and healthy return of Bishop Maxim to his diocese! The Bishop participated in daily services throughout the first week of Great Lent at the Diocesan See, St. Steven’s Cathedral, and then on the First Sunday of Great Lent, March 21, 2021, our Vladika celebrated the Divine Liturgy of Saint Basil the Great at the Cathedral, where he was joined by the Cathedral Dean Very Reverend Stavrophor Nicholas Ceko, Reverend Norman Kosanovich, and Deacon Vladan Radovanovic.
