Marcha - On Sunday, July 29, 2012 Metropolitan Jovan of Zagreb-Ljubljana served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy on the place where the Serbian Orthodox Monastery of Marca devoted to Saint Gabriel the Archangel. Metropolitan was concelebrated by presbyter Ljubisa Miodragovic, Aleksandar Tarabic, Dalibor Petkovic, Nikola Radomirovic and Darko Patakovic. In his sermon Metropolitan Jovan reminded of suffering and the rise of the monastery Marca through history.

Protopresbyter +Ambrose Jackson reposed in the Lord

Father +Ambrose Jackson (10.12.1935- 4.8.2012), reposed in the Lord on Saturday evening in Adelaide.

Father +Ambrose was an Anglican priest who converted to Orthodoxy, with his family, in 2008. He was ordained a presbyter by His Grace Irinej, Bishop of the Metropolitanate of Australia and New Zealand, on Sunday, 15 August 2010. Father +Ambrose was attached to Saint Sava Serbian Orthodox Church in Hindmarsh, Adelaide and he was elevated to a dignity of a protopresbyter on Lazarus Saturday this year in the Saint Sava Monastery in Elaine (Vic).

Bishop Atanasije serves in Vavedenje monastery

His Grace Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno, vicar of Patriarch, served yesterday, on August 5, 2012 the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in Vavedenje monastery in Senjak. 

Serbian Days in Seattle

As in every year, St. Sava Church in Issaquah, WA celebrated Serbian Days in commemoration of the consecration of the church.  This year we were blessed to have His Grace, Bishop Maxim join us.  His Grace celebrated the Divine Liturgy at our sister church The Protection of the Most Holy Mother of God  (Pokrov) Church in Seattle on July 28 along with concelebrants Fr. Serafim Gascoigne, parish priest, Fr. Ilija Balach of St. Sava Church and Fr. Nikola Todorovic of St. Stephen the First Martyr Church in Portland.  After Divine Liturgy everyone was treated to a delicious lunch and during lunch were entertained by instrumental and vocal musical renditions.

Patriarch Irinej serves in Cathedral church

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch served on Sunday, August 5, 2012 the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in Belgrade's Cathedral church. 

Prayerful remembrance of the suffered in military action "Storm"

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriach served on Saturday, August 4, 2012  in Belgrade's church of St. Mark the memorial service for the suffered of the military action "Storm", with the concelebration of priests and deacons of the Archbishopric of Belgrade-Karlovac. The prayerful remembrance of the suffered in this military action was attended by His Grace Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno, vicar of Patriarch, Mr. Aleksandar Vucic, Minister of Defence and the first vice president of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Russian Ambassador Alexander Konuzin, chief of the Staff of the Army of Serbia Ljubisa Dikovic, members of the Army of Serbia and manz citizens.
