Slava of Slanci Monastery

Celebration of the Transfer of the relics of Saint archdeacon Stephen - the slava of the monastery devoted to this hieromartyr in the village of Slanci near Belgrade, began with the feast day's vigil service on the eve of the holiday and its peak reached in the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy which was served, with the blessing of His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, by Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno. 

Slava of the Krusedol Monastery

In old, famous sanctity of Brankovic, in the Krusedol monastery, on Sunday August 12, 2012 on the feast day of Venerable Mother Angelina of Serbia with the presence of a great number of faithful people from all parts of our country, the monastery slava was prayerfully celebrated. The Divine Liturgy was served by Their Graces Bishops Lukijan of Osek-Polje, Hrizostom of Bihac-Petrovac and Vasilije of Srem with the concelebration of many priests, monks and deacons of the Diocese of Srem.

Gorazdevac: Ninth year since the death of the boy on Bistrica

In Gorazdevac near Pec a commemoration was held for the children killed in 2003 while swimming in the Bistrica river. The investigation that EULEX took over from UNMIK was closed. Families have been waiting for justice for nine years.

Serbian Patriarch Irinej in New Gracanica Monastery

On Sunday, August 13, 2012 His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch officiated at the Holy Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at the New Gracanica Monastery with the concelebration of His Grace Bishop Longin of New Gracanica and Midwestern America and many clergy and deacons.

At the end of liturgy His Grace Bishop Longin addressed His Holiness, welcoming him to the New Gracanica monastery and the Diocese of New Gracanica and Midwestern America, expressing his great joy that His Holiness, for the first time since his enthronement, served the liturgy in this monastery. 

Consecration of the foundations of Saint Stefan of Decani church

With the blessing of His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, His Grace Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno consecrated yesterday on August 13, 2012 foundations of the church devoted to Holy King Stefan of Decani in Zemun's suburb of May the thirteenth. The church is built by people of this area along with members of the Special Anti-terrorist Unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Electronic Warfare Unit of the Serbian Army which are stationed close to this church.
