His Grace Bishop Jovan of Lipljan, vicar of Serbian Patriarch, served on Sunday, September 2, 2012 the Holy Liturgy in the monastery of the Ascension of the Most Holy Theotokos in Djakovica. The Holy Liturgy was done with the blessing of His Grace Bishop Teodosije of Raska-Prizren, was a great spiritual joy and comfort to the sisterhood around the holy family, the only residents of Djakovica.

Protocol on Cooperation of the Serbian Orthodox Church and the National Library of Serbia signed

Yesterday, at the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade, His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch and Mr. Dejan Ristic, acting director of the National Library of Serbia, signed the Protocol which defines the forms of cooperation between the Serbian Orthodox Church and the National Library of Serbia. Signing the document was attended by Mr. Bratislav Petkovic, Minister of Culture and Information in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, and Mr. Zoran Nedeljkovic, the director of the Library of the Serbian Patriarchate. The first result of the Protocol will be the beginning of processing the personal library of Patriarch Pavle of blessed repose, which is kept in the Rakovica monastery in Belgrade.

Liturgical gathering in the church of Saint George in Budapest

The church of Saint George, a beautiful baroque structure from 1733, is located in Serbian street, very close to the pedestrian thoroughfare in Váci street. 

Last week in this church the Orthodox Serbs living in the Hungarian capital participated at the Holy Liturgy which was served by protodean Zoran Ostojic, with the concelebration of deacon Zoran Zivic. Besides the guests from Serbia, there were also residents and members of other faiths.

His Holliness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch received today, on September 5, 2012 in the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade His Excellency Mirko Jelic, ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Vatikan. The reception was attended by His Grace Bishop Porfirije of Jegar.

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch received yesterday on August 29, 2012 in the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade Mr. Bratislav Petkovic, Minister of Culture in the Government of the Republic of Serbia; Mr. Radoslav Pavlovic, advisor to the President of the Republic of Serbia for culture; Mr. Miroslav Tasic, state secretary; Miroslav Jankovic, chief of the cabinet of the Ministry of Culture, with associates. The reception was attended by protopresbyter-staurophor Stojadin Pavlovic, director of the Administration office of the Patriarchate.

His Holiness Irinej received yesterday in the Serbian Patriarchate Their Royal Highnesses Prince Vladimir and Princess Brigitte Karadjordjevic. The reception was attended by His Grace Bishop Andrej of Remesiana.
