On Whit Tuesday, on June 5, 2012 Bishop Lavrentije of Sabac and Bishop Milutin of Valjevo with the concelebration of archimandrite Danilo, archimandrite Arsenije and the priesthood of the Diocese of Sabac consecrated the church of Holy Great Martyr Prince Lazar in a village of Belotic (Diocese of Sabac). The rite of the consecration was attended by many priests and local citizens of Belotic.

His Eminence Archbishop of Cetinje and Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral kyr Amfilohije served on Pentecost Monday and the feast day of St. Jovan Vladimir, the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy at the remains of the monastery of Precista Krajinska in Ostros near Ulcinj. 

Ten years suffering for Christ

In the United States of America, the internet site “Free Archbishop Jovan” (see here) which informs the English speaking public about the state persecution on religious grounds in R. Macedonia, targeted against Archbishop Jovan of Ohrid, the Bishops, clergy, monasticism and faithful people of the canonical Church in our fatherland, the Orthodox Ohrid Archbishopric, is active for several years.

On Friday, June 8, 2012 at the ceremony on the occasion of the Day of the Faculty of Security, which was held at the great hall of the Rectorate of the University of Belgrade, dean of the Faculty Dr Vladimir Cvetkovic awarded His Grace Bishop Jovan of Lipljan with a special plaque for a special contribution to the development of the Faculty and the study of security in general. 

Besides Bishop Jovan the Centre for peace operations of the Serbian Army, this award was also given to Military Intelligence Agency and Security Information Agency, publishing house Sluzbeni glasnik, Military Academy, Institute  for strategic studies, Military Medical Academy, Ambassador of Serbia to the FYR Macedonia Tomislav Djurin, as well as other institutions and personalities.

With the blessing of His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, His Grace Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno served yesterday the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the chapel of  St. Luke of Simferopol at the Military Medical Academy in Belgrade.
