Anniversary of suffering of Serbs in Gracanica, Kosovo and Metohija marked

With the memorial service on the cemetary in Gracanica the eighth anniversary of the murder of the Serbian young man Dimitrije Popovic was marked.  After the memorial service, the family, friends and pals of the murderd Dimitrije laid flowers and lit candles in front of the chapel in downtown Gracanica. Seventeen year old Popovic, pupil of the school of Medicine, was killed in a drive-by shooting, while he was standing with three friends at a fast food kiosk.

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, served today, on the occasion of the church slava, the Divine Liturgy in the church of Holy Trinity in Zemun.

Church of Most Holy Theotokos and St. Alexander Nevsky restored on St. Stephen Island

In accordance with the project approved by the expert Commission for the restoration of the church of Most Holy Theotokos on St. Stephen, which was founded by  the Government of Montenegro, these days the restoration of this church was completed. 

All rough construction works were completed at the church. The access to the church and the interior of the church need to be done. 

Sunday of Holy Fathers in Zagreb

On Sunday of Holy Fathers Metropolitan Jovan of Zagreb-Ljubljana served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the Cathedral church of Transfiguration of the Lord in Zagreb with the concelebration of the local priests. The Metropolitan addreessed the faithful with a sermon on the significance of the First Ecumenical Assembly and holy fathers to whom the Church devoted this Sunday.
