Professor Dr. Ruihiro Tani, an Orthodox patrologist from Japan, will held on May 9, 2011 in the great amphitheater of the Faculty of the Orthodox Theology in Belgrade a lecture on the theme: Dynamics between man and nature in the work of Saint Maximus the Confessor.

Easter in Zagreb

The most joyous Christian feast day of the Resurrection of  Lord Jesus Christ was solemnly celebrated in all churches of our Metropolitanate. His Eminence Metropolitan Jovan of Zagreb-Ljubljana served the Easter morning service  and the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the Cathedral church of the Transfiguration of our Lord in Zagreb with the concelebration of Zagreb's priesthood. 

Easter morning service and Liturgy in Dechani monastery

The Resurrection of Lord Christ was celebrated as usual in the Monastery of Dechani. After the solemn Easter morning service hieromonks served the Divine Liturgy which was attended by 150 believers and about twenty Italian KFOR soldiers.

President Tadic and Prime Minister Cvetkovic extend Easter greetings

President of the Republic of Serbia Mr. Boris Tadic and the President of the Government of Serbia Mr. Mirko Cvetkovic extended Easter greetings to the head of the Serbian Orthodox Church, His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, the priesthood and all the  Orthodox believers in Serbia and abroad.  

"I wish that we spend feast days in spiritual and universal peace, understanding and tolerance among the believers, friends and neighbors. If we respect tradition and Christian values we will preserve our identity, and only celebrating life through work and faith in ourselves we will create an even better society", Boris Tadic said in his greeting.
