On the eve of the feast of the Birth of Christ, His Eminence Bishop of Buda Lukian with the clergy served a festal vigil service the Annunciation church in Szentendre.

Previously, the Yule-log was ceremoniously welcomed in front of the Diocesan Palace where the children traditionally performed Christmas drama presentations, reciting and singing about the New-Born Child Christ. On the day of the feast of the Birth of Christ Bishop Lukian officiated the holy hierarchal Liturgy in the church of St. George in Budapest. His Grace Bishop was concelebrated by archpriest Zoran Ostojic, hieromonk Varnava Knezevic, Archdeacon Inokentije Lukin and deacons Zoran Zivic and Stefan Milisavic.

Metropolitan Porphyry gave Christmas lunch for migrants from Ethiopia who found their new home in Zagreb and who are regular members of the Serbian Orthodox Church Community.

After the Christmas Liturgy celebrated in the Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Lord, the Church Community of the City of Zagreb organized a Christmas lunch at which Metropolitan Porphyry hosted Mr. Milan Bandić, Mayor of Zagreb with associates Dusko Ljustin, Ms. Bogdanka Vulpa and Mrs. Jelena Pavicic Vukicevic, as well as the president of the Serbian People's Council of the Republic of Croatia Milorad Pupovac and a parliamentary representative of the Serbian national minority  Mr. Boris Milosevic.

His Beatitude Jovan, Archbishop of Ohrid and Metropolitan of Skopje, celebrated Christmas Liturgy in the Stavropegial Monastery of St. John Chrysostom in Nižepolje near Bitola on the Feast-day of Nativity of Christ.

The Bishop of Polog-Kumanovo and locum tenens of the Debar-Kicevo Diocese Joakim served the Holy Liturgy in Ohrid, while the Bishop of Bregalnica and locum tenes of Bitola Marko officiated the solemn Liturgy in town Stip. Bishop of Stobi and locum tenens of Strumica David served in the capital of Macedonia Skopje. Christmas Liturgies were also served in other shrines of the Orthodox Archbishopric of Ohrid.

With the blessing of Bishop of Raska-Prizren Theodosius, Decani monks also this year distributed Christmas gifts to returnee Serbian families in Metochia. Thanks to Archimandrite Nektarius Serfes and his Decani Humanitarian Fund from the United States, the collected funds provided pigs (14 halves), one heifer, firewood, children's parcels and a pellet for the church at Osojani. Christians from Brussels and Switzerland provided sweets and Christmas gifts that were distributed to the children in Velika Hoča and Osojani on Christmas Day.

In all the churches and monasteries of the Diocese of Budimlje-Niksic, Montenegro, midnight and morning services were officiated as well as  solemn liturgies in honour of the birthday of the Lord Jesus Christ.

His Grace Bishop Joanikije of Budimlje-Niksic served the Liturgy in the Diocesan monastery of Djurdjevi Stupovi in concelebration of clergy and ordained monastics and with the prayerful participation of many faithful people.
