Sunday of Orthodoxy in Timişoara

Sunday of Orthodoxy, when the Orthodox Church celebrates the victory over the iconoclacy, in a particular way celebrated in Timişoara. His Grace Bishop Lukijan of Budim and Administrator of Timişoara served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy with the concelebration of priests and deacons of the Cathedral church of Timişoara and protopresbyter-staurophor Radomir Popovic, dean of the Higher school - Academy of the Serbian Orthodox Church for arts and conservation. During the Holy Service of God the City choir from Timişoara was chanting. 

After the Holy Liturgy, at the Bishop's Palace the exhibition of the icons, frescoes and mosaics was opened - works of students of the Higher school - Academy of the Serbian Orthodox Church for arts and conservation from Belgrade. Bishop Lukijan warmly welcomed the guests from Serbian in the presence of Bishop Pajsija, vicar of Metropolitan Nikolaj of Timişoara, Mr. Dragomir Radenkovic, consul of the Republic of Serbia in Timişoara; representative of Romanian National Institute of Historical Monuments, representative of the Academy for arts and conservation in Timişoara, prof. Goran Janicijevic and mr Jovan Pantic - professor from Academy in Belgrade. The Church institution of the higher education from Belgrade was represented by Dr Radomir Popovic, dean of the Academy. The exhibition was formally opened by the consul Radenkovic. Three Serbian choirs from Timişoara sang during the opening. 

Organized with the blessing of Bishop Lukijan this exhibition reminded Orthodox Serbs and Romanians that the Church is One, Holy, Apostolic and Conciliar and that a dialogue is necessary in order to all issues of the secular world resolve.

Exhibition was organized under the patronage of the Ministry of Faith of the Republic of Serbia.
