On 24 May 2015, after celebrating the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia arrived in Red Square to attend a concert marking the Day of Slavic Literature and Culture.

Spring Issue of The Path Now Available Online

The Spring issue of The Path of Orthodoxy is now available online. Read about the St. Sebastian and St. Mardarije Orthodox Institute held for the very first time in February of this year. This inaugural meeting was held at the beautiful St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church in Phoenix, Arizona with a good number of both clergy and laity participants. We look forward to similar Orthodox Institutes which are planned for the future. As we approach the great feast of Pentecost a festal homily delivered by His Grace Bishop Atanasije, retired Bishop of Hercegovina and keynote speaker of this year's Institute, is included in this issue. On May 10, at King’s College London, one of the top 20 universities in the world (2013-4 QS international world rankings), a rare history and fine art book, published by Sebastian Press, was presented to a wider public interested to study or expand their knowledge about the cultural heritage of Kosovo and Metohija (Serbia). 

Bishop Maxim of Western America and Abbott Sava of Decani Monastery spoke about the book at the College Chapel at the Strand. This chapel is seen by many as the spiritual heart of the College. Vocal quartet led by Bozidar Smiljanic sung during the presentation.

The choir of the Monastery of Holy Archangels in Kovilj, Diocese of Bachka, Serbia, along with the world-famous “Kronos Quartet”, successfully performed the New York premiere of a piece of the Serbian composer Aleksandra Vrebalov “Beyond Zero: 1914-1918”, dedicated to the centenary of the Great War, at the fulfilled hall of the Carnegie Hall in New York, on Saturday, March 7th 2015.

The next day, on Sunday, March 8th 2015, the choir of the monastery of Holy Archangels in Kovilj was cordially welcomed by the priesthood and pious people at the church of Saint Sava on Manhattan, in New York City. The Kovilj’s chanters sang responses at the Holy Liturgy served by Revd. Djokan Majstorovic, a decade-long New York’s parish priest.
