Saint Sava’s academy in the crypt of Saint Sava Cathedral
31. January 2017 - 16:20His Grace Bishop Arsenije of Toplica, principal of the Saint Sava Cathedral and Vicar Bishop of the Serbian Patriarch, attended the Saint Sava’s Academy in the crypt of this Memorial Cathedral in the Vracar district on 25 January 2017.
The Saint Sava’s academy, organized by the church of Saint Sava, was attended by the Principal of the Saint Sava’s Seminary protopresbyter-stavrophor Professor Dr. Dragan Protic, Director of the Administrative Office of the Patriarchate protopresbyter-stavrophor StojadinPavlovic, spiritual elder of the church of Holy Transfiguration in Zagreb archimandrite Danilo Ljubotinja, parish priests of the Saint Sava Cathedral and many guests.
Exhibition: Serbia in the Great War
1. September 2015 - 9:52The exhibition is curated by Bojan Pajic and Richard Cooke who have collaborated in researching the experience of their relatives in the Great War. Richard's grandmother, Ethel Gillingham, from Geelong, Victoria, served with the British Red Cross in Serbia in 1915-16, whilst Bojan's grandfather, Lazar Stefanovic, and great uncle, Dragomir Profirovic, served in the Serbian Army throughout the war.
Four centuries of the Imperial House of the Romanovs

On the occasion of the 400th anniversary since the accession to the Russian throne of the dynasty of the Romanovs, on the very day of martyrdom of Saint Tsar Nicholas the Second Romanov and his family and fellow sufferers, the exhibition “Four Centuries of the Imperial House of the Romanovs – Awakening of Memories” will be opened in the crypt of the Memorial Cathedral of Saint Sava on 17 July 2015 at 12 a.m.. The celebration will commence with theHierarchal Liturgy in the large Memorial Cathedral beginning at 9 a.m.
Choir of the Kovilj Monastery performs at Carnegie Hall

March 2015 - 10:25The choir of the Monastery of Holy Archangels in Kovilj, Diocese of Bachka, Serbia, along with the world-famous “Kronos Quartet”, successfully performed the New York premiere of a piece of the Serbian composer Aleksandra Vrebalov “Beyond Zero: 1914-1918”, dedicated to the centenary of the Great War, at the fulfilled hall of the Carnegie Hall in New York, on Saturday, March 7th 2015.
The next day, on Sunday, March 8th 2015, the choir of the monastery of Holy Archangels in Kovilj was cordially welcomed by the priesthood and pious people at the church of Saint Sava on Manhattan, in New York City. The Kovilj’s chanters sang responses at the Holy Liturgy served by Revd. Djokan Majstorovic, a decade-long New York’s parish priest.
