Vatican to hold concert of Russian Orthodox music
19. May 2010 - 10:32On May 20, Vatican will hold a concert of Russian Orthodox music in the Paul VI Audience Hall. The guests will listen to the music of Rimsky-Korsakov, Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky, Musorgsky and other Russian composers performed by the Russian National Orchestra, the Moscow Synodal Choir and the Horn Chapel of St. Petersburg. The concert will be concluded with the symphony by Metropolitan Hilarion (Alfeyev) for chorus and orchestra The Song of Revival, the concert organizers reported to Interfax-Religion.
NOT TO FORGET – exhibition on the occasion of five years since pogrom of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohia

March 2009 - 12:00On Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at 7 p.m., at a refectory of the church of St Sava at Vracar, His Grace Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno, vicar of His Holiness Patriarch Pavle of Serbia, on the behalf of Patriarch of Serbia and His Eminence Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral, opened an exhibition oficons and frescoes, copies of the icons and the frescoes from monasteries and churches in Kosovo and Metohia. The icons and frescoes are created by students of the Academy of Arts and Conservation of the Serbian Orthodox Church, and which were created under the mentorship of Goran Janicijevic, assistant professor at the subject of Fresco writing.
The opening of exhibition was attended by lots of admirers of church art, people from cultural and public life, archimandrite Danilo(Ljubotina), protopresbyter-staurophor Drago Ubiparipovic, protopresbyter-staurophor Drago Sando, protopresbyter Luka Novakovic, deacon Milan Kovacevic, Dr Vojislav Milovanovic, head architect of St Sava`s Cathedral at Vracar.
Exhibition “St. Paul the Apostle yesterday, today and tomorrow”, the Christian cultural centre, May 2009

March 2009 - 14:16On the occasion of 2000 years sincethe birth of St. Paul the Apostle, the Christian cultural centre in Belgrade, with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Pavle of Serbia and the patronage of the Archbishopric Belgrade and Karlovac, has announced a bidding to award a participation to a thematic exhibition of icons and religious paintings titled St. Paul the Apostle yesterday, today and tomorrow.
HEROES OF THE FAITH - HEROES OF THE HISTORY, exhibition opened in the PROGRES Gallery
2. December 2008 - 19:05An exhibition of icons, frescoes, mosaics, rosettes and calligraphy, created by the Academy of the Serbian Orthodox Church for arts and conservation, was opened at the PROGRES gallery yesterday evening. The title of the exhibition is HEROES OF THE FAITH - HEROES OF THE HISTORY. The hagiographies were created in Todor Mitrovic`s (Mth), Goran Janicijevic`s and Rajko Blazic`s class and calligraphy was done by Dragan Bosnic, Mth.The exhibition was opened by Dean of the Academy of SOC archpriest-staurophor dr Radomir Popovic opened the exhibition.
During his speech, Dean led the visitors through history of the early Christian Church on territories of Gaul and Moesia, on which are nowadays France and Serbia.
He specially thanked the patron of the exhibition, Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Serbia, and its representatives - secretary of state Mr. Dragan Curovic and Mr. Dragan Novakovic. In the end , Dean gave word to His Grace Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno, the vicar of His Holiness, in order to bless and open the exhibition.
The fifth Orthodox Music Festival in Pomorie, Bulgaria
4. June 2008 - 14:03Pomorie will greet more than 700 choristers from nine countries for the fifth Orthodox Music Festival, to be held from June 7 to 11. Among the new participants this year is the chamber choir of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church in Berlin. Russian and Greek church officials are expected to be present at the festival.
Officially named for the Holy Virgin Mother (Света Богородица - Достойно есть), the festival drew applications for participation from more than 3000 candidates; out of these were chosen 31 groups from Belarus, Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia and Ukraine.
Saint Sava Academy at the Theological Faculty of the Serbian Orthodox Church

January 2004 - 13:28His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Pavle celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Chapel of the Theological Faculty on the Feast of St. Sava, the First Serbian Archbishop and Enlightener of the Serbs. Following the Liturgy the Patriarch performed the rite of cutting the festal bread in honor of the Patron Saint and delivered a homily on the significance of St. Sava for the development of Serbian spirituality. According to the Patriarch, St. Sava is the indicator of the way to the Lord and Heavenly Kingdom, and our intercessor before God.
