Art Exhibition at Halki Theological School

On Sunday, August 29, 2010, His All Holiness presided over Great Vespers at the Monastery of Holy Trinity at Halki. The service was followed by the official opening of the Art Exhibition entitled "Tracing Istanbul." In attendance were Mr. Paul Geroulanos, Greek Minister of Culture and Tourism, and Mr. Nikitas Kaklamanis, Mayor of Athens.

Serbfest celebrates century of Serbian culture in St. Louis, USA

Serbfest celebrates Serbian traditions and Eastern Orthodox beliefs. But the priest at Holy Trinity Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church, which was established a century ago, also made a point Saturday to express his love of the United States. "The more you know about America, the more you love it," the Rev. Radomir Chkautovich, who fled socialist Yugoslavia in 1963, said with an accent.

Exhibition "Serbia - the cultural bond of the East and the West" opens in Vienna

In the Erzbischöfliches Palais (Archbishop's palace) in Vienna the exhibition "Serbia - the cultural bond of the East and the West" was opened last night. At the formal opening speeches were given by sponsors of the exhibition, presidents of Austrian and Serbia, Heinz Fischer and Boris Tadic, also the host of the exhibition, Roman Catholic Archishop, Cardinal Christoph Schönborn, and on behalf of the SOC, Bishop Irinej of Backa, the member of the Holy Synod of Bishop.

Annual exhibition of works of students of the Academy - Higher school of the SOC for arts and conservation formally opened

With the blessing and on behalf of His Holiness IRINEJ, Serbian Patriarch, His Grace Bishop Atanasije, Vicar of Patriarch, opened on June, 15 2010 in the Academy- Higher School of the Serbian Orthodox Church for arts and conservation in Belgrade the annual exhibition of the works of students of this church institution of the higher educatio, accredited by the Ministry of Education. The opening of the exhibition was attended by His Grace  Jovan Bishop of Dioclea and heugomen of Ostrog, the president of the Council of the Academy- Higher school of the SOC, professors, students, representatives of the Ministry of Faith and Education of the Republic of Serbia and the City of Belgrade, as well as many other people from the cultural and public life of the capital.

170 years of the Post of Serbia

His Holiness IRINEJ Serbian Patriarch, accompanied by His Grace Vicar Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno attended last night at the gallery the opening of the exhibition of 170 years of the Post of Serbia. The exhibits from the Belgrade Postal Museum  reminded those present of the history and the beginning of the work of the Serbian postal service.
