Vlade Divac came to Australia upon the invitation of the Metropolitanate of Australia-New Zealand, and as the founder and patron of the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation which collects financial funds for aid and, above all, solving housing problems of refugees and displaced persons in Serbia.
IOCC Sends New Wave of Relief to Serbia's Earthquake Survivors

January 2012 - 12:04One year after an earthquake in the Serbian village of Vitanovac crumbled the walls of her home and destroyed her only source of heat, this woman eagerly assembles the new wood stove now sitting in her kitchen. Through a generous gift from the Serbian Orthodox Metropolitanate of Australia and New Zealand, IOCC provided wood burning stoves and firewood for 150 families struggling to rebuild their earthquake damaged homes. Baltimore, MD (IOCC) — The past year has been a struggle for the villagers living in and around Vitanovac, Serbia, the epicenter of a jarring 5.4 earthquake last November that left two people dead and tens of thousands of people homeless. With winter coming and the need for assistance still critical, International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC) through ongoing support from the Serbian Orthodox Metropolitanate of Australia and New Zealand, is delivering much needed relief to families still laboring to rebuild their homes and replace belongings destroyed in the earthquake.
Merciful section of the RCG at Home for children without parental care "Mose Pijade"

December 2011 - 15:49On the beginning of the third week of the Christmas lent, on Sunday, December 11, 2011 the members of the Merciful section of the Religious Charity guardianship of the Archbishopric of Belgrade-Karlovac visited the Home "Mosa Pijade" at the Center for Protection of Infants, Children and Youth of Belgrade.
In this house a large number of children are accommodated who attend primary or secondary school and those who want to go to faculty can stay at the House until they are 26 years old.
