His Holiness and the Prime Minister held a private meeting to discuss political developments in the Middle East, their impact on Lebanon and the pending sensitive issue of the presidential election.

Assyrian Restaurants Bombed in Qamishli – Syria
31. December 2015 - 11:15Qamishli, Syria (AINA) — Three explosions targeted Assyrian businesses in Qamishli, Syria today. The first was at the Miami restaurant and the second at the Gabriel restaurant, both owned by Assyrians. The restaurants are in an Assyrian neighborhood and commercial district in the center of the city. The explosions at Miami and Gabriel restaurants occurred within minutes of each other.
A third attack targeted the Youth Restaurant, in the western part of Qamishli, which is also owned by Assyrians.

In a picture published by @khamenei_ir Twitter account on Saturday, Ayatollah Khamenei can be seen during a meeting with the mother of a Christian martyr who lost life during the Iraq-Iran war.
Egypt’s Coptic pope wishes the country’s Catholics merry Christmas

The pope expressed his joy that members of all of Egypt’s religious denominations and faiths were participating in this year’s Christmas celebrations.
