Serbian Patriarch Irinej visits Republic of Srpska

 

Many Orthodox believers, priests and monks of the Diocese of Dabrobosna solemnly welcomed Serbian Patriarch Irinej at the Dobrun Monastery.  

LET LOVE REIGN AMONG PEOPLE

Lots of Orthodox believers from Visegrad and nearby suburbs, monks and priests of the Diocese of Dabrobosna on Wednesday evening welcomed Serbian Patriarch Irinej. The festive welcome was enhanced also by young folklorists from the Serbian Sokol  society "SOKO" from Dobrun, and Patriarch Irinej had been welcomed before on the  border crossing Vardiste by Metropolitan Nikolaj of Dabrobosna and mayor of Visegrad Tomislav Popovic..  

St. Joanikije of Devic solemly celebrated in the church in Bresnica

On the Third Monday after Pascha on the day of the transfer of the relics of St. Joanikije of Devic on May 9, 2011 Bishop Jovan of Sumadija served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in Kragujevac's suburb of Bresnica in the church of St. Joanikije of Devic with the concelebration of many local priests.

Liturgy broadcasted on German television

His Grace Bishop Konstantin of Middle Europe served on Sunday, May 8, the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the church of St. George the Great-martyr and the Victor-bearer in Osnabruck in the northwest of Germany. He was concelebrated by presbyters Sinisa Vujasinovic from Osnabrück and Nedjeljko Djokic from Düsseldorf with deacons Slavisa Bozic from Vienna and Aleksandar Perkovic from Hildesheim, and the service was attended by Their Royal Highnesses Prince Vladimir and Princess Brigita of Yugoslavia, consul of Serbia in Hamburg, Vojin Dragisic.

Session of the Diocesan Council of the Diocese of Britain-Scandinavia

In the monastery of the Holy Protection of the Holy Theotokos in Sweden under the chairmanship of His Grace Bishop Dositej of Britain-Scandinavia from April 28-29, 2011 the regular session of the Diocesan council of the Diocese of Britain-Scandinavia was held. After the report of Bishop Dositej about the situation in the Diocese, the reports from many parishes from Great Britain, Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Island were brought.

Patron Saint's day of St. Mark's church in Belgrade

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch on the day of celebration of Holy Evangelist and apostle Mark served the Divine Liturgy in Belgrade's church devoted to this apostle of God with the celebration of His Grace Vicar Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno, fifteen priests and six deacons of the Archbishopric of Belgrade-Karlovac.

Patron Saint's Day of the church of St. George in Prizren

In Prizren the patron saint's day of the Cathedral church of St. George the Great martyr was solemnly celebrated. The Divine Liturgy was served by Bishop Marko of Bregalnica (Archbishopric of Ohrid) with the concelebration of Bishop Teodosije of Raska-Prizren, 15 presbyters and 3 deacons. Among priests there were archimandrite Partenios, the longtime friend and benefactor of the Serbian people, as well as protopresbyter Marinos, the chaplain of the Greek contingent of the KFOR. In the Liturgy circa 400 belivers took part, mostly the refugees from Prizren, who came on the patron's feast day of St. George from all parts of Serbia bearing icons as gifts to the church in which they were baptized and married.
