Annunciation of the Mother of God in Belgrade - restored Patron Saint's Day of PE PTT Communications "Srbija"

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy on the feast day of Annunciation of the Mother of God in Belgrade's church of St. Mark the Apostle and the Evangelist.

Annunciation of the Mother of God in Celije Monastery

In monastery Celije on April 7, 2011 formally and in a great spiritual joy was celebrated the feast day of the Annunciation of the Mother of God. Each year in a Holy family of Celije a great number of Orthodox believers is gathered from our local Church and from other Orthodox sisterly Churches. Therefore this year also in the Liturgical celebration of this beautiful holiday lots of believers participated, not just from nearby Valjevo but also from Podgorica, Belgrade, Zemun, Sid, Trebinje and other places around Serbia and other Serbian lands. The great joy for all the attendees was a presence of believers and priests from Slovakia. 

Consecration of the cross

On the day of Saint Martyrs Agapius, Alexander, Nikander and others suffered along with them, His Grace Bishop Gerasim of Gornji Karlovci consecrated the cross for the central dome of the church of St. George on Sushak in Rijeka.

Liturgical gathering in Mali Mokri Lug

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch served today the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts in the church of St. Tryphon in Mali Mokri Lug.

Monastic tonsure in Cetinje Monastery

During the formal vesper service, on April 2, 2011 in Cetinje Monastery His Eminence Amfilohije Archbishop of Cetinje and Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral  performed a tonsure of novice Konstantin Zivkovic giving him monastic name Jovan.

President Dodik visits Tvrdos monastery

President of the Republik of Srpska, Mr. Milorad Dodik, as a part of his visit to Trebinje and the opening of manifestation Days of Wine, also visited monastery of Tvrdosh where he was welcomed by Bishop Grigorije of Zahumlje-Herzegovina, Bishop Atanasije, heugomen Sava and priests of the Diocese.
