Audience with President of Georgia

Mr. Mikheil Saakashvili, the President of Georgia, organized yesterday the formal reception and the dinner on the occasion of the twofold jubilee of His Holiness and Beatitude Catholicos Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II.

Following the President, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, Serbian Patriarch Irinej and Metropolitan Kiril, the Locum Tenens of the Bulgarian Patriarchal throne, sent greetings personally to Patriarch Ilia during their address. His Holiness and Beatitude Patriarch Ilia expressed his gratitude to all who came to prayerfully participate in the significant jubilee of the Georgian Orthodox Church – 35^th anniversary of his Patriarchal ministry. At the presidential palace a solemn cultural program was organized.

Heads of two Sister Churches meet in Tbilisi

His Holiness Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia has organized today an audience for all delegations of the Local Orthodox Churches that have arrived and which are going to participate in the ceremonies planned for January 13^th. 

Traditional Christmas children receptions at the White Palace

His Grace Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno attended  the traditional Christmas receptions for children without parental care, which were organized by the Royal family Karadjordjevic at the White Palace in Belgrade on 10 January 2013.

Along with Crown Prince Alexander, Crown Princess Katherine, Hereditary Prince Peter and Prince Philip, Bishop Atanasije distributed presents and small icons for more than 1200 children from all regions of Serbia gathered at the White Palace. Serbian Patriarch visits Georgian Patriarch Ilia II

Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, pays an extraordinary friendly four-day visit to Georgia. He traveled there yesterday, on 9 January 2013, on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the enthronement and the 80th birthday of His Holiness Catholikos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II. His Eminence Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral and deacon Aleksandar Sekulic, official from the Office of the Office of the Serbian Patriarch, accompanies His Holiness. 

Midnight Christmas Liturgy at Saint Sava Cathedral

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, celebrated the midnight Christmas Liturgy in Saint Sava Memorial Cathedral on Vracar. Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic attended the service.

The memorial cathedral of the Serbian people on Vracar tonight was full with people. Тhe head of the Serbian Church officiated at the solemn Pontifical Liturgy with the concelebration of the priesthood of the Archbishopric of Belgrade-Karlovac.

Christmas Liturgy at Cathedral Church

Serbian Patriarch Irinej and Mr. Tomislav Nikolic attended the Christmas Liturgy at Belgrade's Cathedral Church.

His Grace Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno, Vicar of the Serbian Patriarch, celebrated this morning the Divine Liturgy, on the joyful feast day of the Nativity of the Lord, at the Cathedral Church of Saint Michael the Archangel in Belgrade.
