New Archbishop of Centerbury - Justin Welby

Welby was educated at St Peter's School, Seaford and Eton College and subsequently went to Trinity College, Cambridge where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Law in 1978 (proceeding MA 1990).In 1989, he studied for ordination at St John's College, Durham. After several parochial appointments he became the Dean of Liverpool and was appointed as the Bishop of Durham in 2011.
Russian Patriarch Kirill visits Patriarchate of Jerusalem

Archbishop Tikhon Elected as the New Primate of Orthodox Church in America

November 2012 - 13:16Archbishop Tikhon of the Diocese of Eastern Pennsylvania has been elected as the new Primate of the Orthodox Church in America (Archbishop of Washington, Metropolitan of All-America and Canada). He was elected by the All-American Council which is the highest legislative and administrative authority of OCA.
Biography
After receiving his Master of Divinity degree from Saint Tikhon Seminary in 1993, he was appointed instructor in Old Testament at Saint Tikhon Seminary. He continues to serve as Senior Lecturer in Old Testament, teaching Master level courses in the Prophets and the Psalms and Wisdom Literature. He is also an instructor in the seminary’s Extension Studies program, offering courses in the lives of the Old Testament saints, the liturgical use of the Old Testament, and the Old Testament in patristic literature.
Prayerful Remembrance of Patriarch Pavle

November 2012 - 13:59His Holiness Kyr Irinej, Serbian Patriarch along with His Eminence Kyr Amfilohije, Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral and His Grace Kyr Atanasije, Bishop of Hvosno and Vicar Bishop of Serbian Patriarch, will serve on Thursday, 15 November 2012, the Divine Liturgy in the church of the Dormition of the Most Holy Mother of God at Rakovica monastery.
On the occasion of the 3rd anniversary of the death, at the tomb of Serbian Patriarch Pavle of blessed repose a commemoration will be served.
The service will commence at 8 a.m.
