Patriarch Irinej serves in the Synaxis of All Serbian Saints church in Karaburma

His Holiness IRINEJ, Serbian Patriarch served today on May 16, 2010 the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the church of Synaxis of All Serbian Saints in Karaburma in Belgrade.

Following the end of the Holy Liturgy, on the occasion of the Patron Saint's Day of the Choir of this holy church, His Holiness cut the slava cake.

Six-month memorial service for Patriarch Pavle

His Holiness IRINEJ, Serbian Patriarch served today the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy and six-month memorial service to Patriarch Pavle of blessed repose in the Rakovica monastery.

His Holiness was concelebrated by His Eminence Metropolitan Nikolaj of Dabrobosna and Their Graces Longin of Nova Grachanica-Midwest America and Atanasije of Hvosno.

The prayerful memorial service to Great First Hierarch of our Holy Church, besides his relatives, lots of pious people, priests and monks, was attended by Mr. Mladjan Djordjevic, advisor to President of Serbia and Mr. Dragan Curovic, state secretary in Ministry of Faith.

New Bishop of American Orthodox Church

On Saturday, May 8, 2010, over 1000 faithful - including nine bishops, 125 clergy, and 100 seminarians and their families - gathered at Saints Peter and Paul Church here to celebrate the consecration of His Grace, Michael as Bishop of New York and the Diocese of New York and New Jersey.

Walled-in icons discovered on the Kremlin towers

Ancient icons were discovered on the Spasskaya and Nikolskaya Towers of the Kremlin. They were walled in during Soviet times and have been deemed lost for a long time now. "The fact is that the icons were discovered at least on two towers (of the Kremlin - IF). This is an epoch-making event as far as cultural discoveries are concerned," head of the Council of Trustees of the St. Andrew the First-Called Foundation Vladimir Yakunin said at a press conference held by Interfax.

Patron Saint's Day of of Visoki Decani Monastery

Patron Saint's Day of of Visoki Decani Monastery today was formally celebrated with the Holy Liturgy served by Bishop Atanasije, administrator of the Diocese of Raska-Prizren and Kosovo-Metohija with the concelebration of Vicar Bishop Teodosije and seven priests. More than two hundred believers from various parts of Kosovo and Metohija and Cental Serbia participated in the Holy Liturgyда. At the celebration also were present monks from Sopocani and Tvrdos, nuns of the Koncul monastery with heugomene Minodora as well as sisters from Grachanica.
