Vandal Attack Against the Serbian Church in Knin (Croatia)
22. January 2008 - 9:14In the night between the 17th and the 18th of January 2008, the church of St. George once more became a target for vandals. Following the usual scenario, for the fifth time over the past three months, the entrance door has been forced open and the objects in the Holy church shuffled around. At this occasion, the entrance door suffered cospicuos material damage.
This situation has been causing concern to the orthodox Serbs in Knin, especially following the most recent events, considering the fact that such vandal transgressions have been becoming more and more frequent.
The police station in Knin has been informed on this event and visited the scene.

The official notice: The Orthodox Cathedral in Split attacked again
21. January 2008 - 9:45Just a couple of days after the letter with neo-nazi threats addressed to the Orthodox church community in Split, another violent attack occured this morning, on the 18th of January 2008, when it has been discovered that the doors and walls of the manse are full of neo-nazi and ustashi garfitti, such as: «Serbs to be butchered!» together with ustashi simbol of capital letter U with a sign of cross above it.
These disturbing events, which lately occur very frequently on the territory of the Dalmatian Diocese augur badly for the ominous time of the Second World War when a lot of people lost their lives only because of their nationality or faith.

A Blessing for Honorable and Fair Elections
«« But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness…»(Matthew 6:33)... »(Мт. 6, 33)...
Bearing in mind that preelection silence is about to begin soon and that there have been some speculations in the public that the Church was supporting one or the other political option, we must point out some postulates on which not only the relationship between the Church and the state are laid, but also the very identity of the Church, which can’t be exploited or abused, not even on behalf of church institutions or dignitaries.

Oraovica (Municipality of Preševo, Southern Serbia): Albanian Terrorists Vandalize, Desecrate Church of St. George Dating Back t
15. January 2008 - 12:29Even though, in this year's Nativity Encyclical, the Serbian Orthodox Church had called upon all people to live in peace and to avoid conflict, this hasn't been sufficient for the Albanian terrorists in Southern Serbia. On the contrary, they committed a serious crime against the Serbian people and their spiritual and cultural heritage by desecrating the Church of St. George in Oraovica, on the most joyful Christian holiday - the Birth of Christ, just like innumerous times before. They forced the metal blinds and violated the church by entering it through one of the windows, after they had extirpated the church's cross, which had been embodied into the concrete of the roof, since no other roof covering could resist the Albanian vandals. What made them do this just on Christmas Day? It was their way of demonstrating their rude violence against the church dating back to the 14th century, for in the village of Oraovci (which once had a Serb majority) there is not a single Serb left since 1966. The Serbs have been expelled by Albanian extremists, who then desecrated and destroyed all Serbian graves in Oraovica, leaving not a single tombstone or monument in its place or intact.
