On 29 September 2014, the constitutive meeting of the Church National Assembly of the Romanian Orthodox Church for the period 2014 – 2018 was held in Bucharest, under the chairmanship of His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of Romania.

The Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the United States of America commenced its fifth annual meeting Monday, September 15, with a Pan-Orthodox Clergy-Laity Gathering in Dallas, Texas.
Some two hundred people attended, including more than 30 bishops representing the member jurisdictions of the Assembly. The evening began with a Doxology—a service of thanksgiving—presided over by the Chairman of the Assembly, Archbishop Demetrios of America. His Eminence welcomed those in attendance, remarking that the Doxology was an opportunity to thank God for all His gifts and for bringing the Assembly together once again. His Eminence expressed his wish that the evening would make the faithful more aware of the sacred and great work that the Lord is doing through the Assembly.

On 21 September 2014, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations, who is in Jordan to participate in a plenary session of the Joint Commission for Theological Dialogue between the Orthodox and the Roman Catholic Churches, visited the Russian Pilgrims’ House at the place of the Baptism of Jesus Christ.
Theodoros II conducted memorial prayers for Petros VII

On 11th September 2014, His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa officiated during the Divine Liturgy at the Patriarchal Church of St Savvas the Sanctified in Alexandria and conducted the Memorial Prayers for his predecessor of blessed memory, Patriarch Petros VII, the members of his patriarchal entourage and the crew of the helicopter, on the completion of ten years since the fateful accident which occurred near Agion Oros, on 11th September 2004.

On Sunday, September 14, 2014, His All-Holiness presided over the Divine Liturgy celebrating the great feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross at the Patriarchal Church of St. George, together with Metropolitans Kyrillos of Imvros and Tenedos, Theoleptos of Ikonion, Andreas of Arkalochori, Kastelli and Viannos, Stefanos of Kallioupolis and Madytos, Elpidophoros of Bursa, Athenagoras of Kydonies and Maximos of Selyvria. Also serving as the official celebrant was Archimandrite Bartholomew Samaras, Chief Secretary of the Ecumenical Patriarchate's Holy and Synod.
