Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk meets with His Beatitude Archbishop Chrysostomos of Cyprus

On 5 May 2018, His Beatitude Chrysostomos II of New Justiniana and All Cyprus received Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations (DECR), who arrived in Cyprus with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.

New Violation of the Holy Zion Chapel

On Mid-Pentecost Wednesday, April 19/May 2, 2018, radical fanatics from the Yesiva Synagogue by David’s Tomb violated the railing and wire mesh of the chapel-catacomb at the outdoor area of the Holy Monastery of the Holy Trinity and the Priest School of Zion of the Patriarchate, and entered illegally, refusing to leave.

The transgressors were removed from the premises by the Israeli Police of Jerusalem with great difficulty, due to their strong resistance.

On the feast of Mid-Pentecost on Wednesday, His Eminence Archbishop Roman of Konotop and Glukhov celebrated the consecration of a chapel and a well in the Sumy Region in northeastern Ukraine, on the site of the execution of several monks in 1922, reports the Konotop-Glukhov Diocese.
