Statement on Patriarch Pavle's Health Condition

During the course of yesterday, His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Pavle overcame his serious health problems successfully and with the whole-hearted support of the Military Medical Accademy's (VMA) medical and hospital staff. The Patriarch's heart function is turning normal. The liquid accumulated in His lungs is gradually being absorbed. His Holiness spent a relatively calm night. His general health condition is becoming more stable, but remains serious.

Treatment continues intensively.

Bulletin on the Health Condition of H. H. Patriarch Pavle

On the basis of the daily health bulletin issued by the Military Medical Academy's (VMA) Medical Council, signed by Chief of the Therapy Department Col. Prof. Dr. Djoko Maksic, we hereby inform the public that, following an infection of the respiratory tract, the health condition of His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Pavle has been stabilized.

Health Condition of H.H. Patriarch Pavle is Serious

His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Pavle's health condition is still considered very serious by the Medical Council of the Military Medical Academy.

It is also emphasized that His Holiness continues to communicate without His vital functions being relevantly jeopardized. Following a period marked by instabilty alongside with a further intensification of the treatment provided, His general health condition is somewhat better, with an improved blood oxygenation, a stable blood pressure and a regular diet.

Daily Bulletin on the Health Condition of H.H. Patriarch Pavle

Bulletin issued by the Permanent Medical Council in charge of providing medical treatment to His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Pavle, dated November 27, 2007.

His Holiness' general health condition presents no relevant modifications as compared to the previous day. Intensive treatment and monitoring continue along with the prescribed therapy.

Letter by H.E. Ambassador of the United States of America to the Serbian Patriarch

H.E. Ambassador of the United States of America to the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Cameron Munter, has forwarded a letter to His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Pavle, in which he expresses his best wishes for the Serbian Patriarch's health.

President Tadic visits Serbian Patriarch Pavle

His Excellency President of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Boris Tadic, visited His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Pavle yesterday, Nov. 14th, 2007, in the afternoon. Mr. Tadic was accompanied by the director of VMA (Military Medical Academy). According to the Information Service of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Mr. Tadic has had a short conversation with the Patriarch.
