The feast of St. Prophet Elijah in the monastery of St. John Chrysostom in Bitola

On the day of the Holy Prophet Elijah, His Beatitude Archbishop of Ohrid and Metropolitan of Skopje John celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the monastery of St. John Chrysostom in Bitola, Northern Macedonia.

Patron Saint-day of Prophet Elijah church in Mirijevo

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch officiated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the church of Holy Prophet Elijah in Mirijevo, Belgrade, on 2 August, 2020.

The Patriarch was concelebrated by the local clergy. The service was attended prayerfully by Director of the Office for Cooperation with Churches and Religious Communities Dr. Mileta Radojevic and Principal of the Seventh Belgrade Secondary School Mr. Miroslav Markicevic.

Work action in Bijela, metochion of the monastery Pakrа

Another work action was organized at Bijelo,  metochion of the Monastery of Pakra, Slavoni, on Monday, August 3, 2020. Namely, a construction of iconostasis in the church and installing a fence around the monastery refectory started.

The Feast of St. Elijah in Doljani

The Feast of St. Prophet Elijah as the church dedication day in Doljani, near Daruvar, was prayerfully celebrated on Sunday, August 2, 2020, on which occasion, His Grace Jovan, Bishop of Pakrac-Slavonia, celebrated the Holy Liturgy.

Livno: Memory Rite of 1,600 Serbs who murdered on the feast-day of Holy Martyr Marina

On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the Ustashas’ killing 1,600 Serbs in the Livno field, the Holy Liturgy was celebrated in the Memorial Chapel-Ossuary in Livno, Hercegovina, on the feast of the Holy Great Martyr Marina. The parish priest of Livno, Predrag Crepulja, told agency ‘Srna’ that the Ustashas from the day of Holy Martyr (30^th July) to the feat-day of Prophet Elijah (2^nd August) in 1941, during the Second World War, murdered 1,600 Serbs.
