Bishop Arsenije consecrated the laboratory "Fiery Eye"
31. July 2020 - 11:27His Grace Bishop Arsenije of Nis Arsenije performed the rite of blessing of premises of the newly built laboratory "Fiery Eye", which will process tests for the Covid 19 virus. The event took place in the city of Nish on July 29, 2020.
The laboratory was built next to the Institute of Public Health in Nis. Such a laboratory already exists in Belgrade and is a donation from the Chinese Institute. The capacity of tests at the daily level of the Nis laboratory should be 1,000 tests.
Livno: Livno New Martyrs prayerfully celebrated

July 2020 - 10:33The Holy Liturgy was celebrated on the occasion of the feast of the Holy Great Martyr Marina and of the memory of the martyrdom of innocent Serbs - old men, women and children and thrown by the Ustashes into a deep pit of Ravni Dolac. The worship took place in the chapel-memorial ossuary dedicated to the Holy New Martyrs of Livno on July 30, 2020.

29. July 2020 - 21:22The feast day of The Holy Martyrs Cyricus and Julitta, Saint Vladimir of Kiev and the Holy Martyrs of Velicko-Gornje Polimlje was prayerfully celebrated in Jasenovac Monastery on Tuesday, 28 July 2020.
With the sisterhood of this holy family and the clergy of the Diocese of Slavonia, His Grace Bishop Jovan of Pakrac and Slavonia celebrated the Holy Liturgy.
Humanitarian Aid of the Serbian Eastern American Diocese to the Serbian People in Kosovo and Metohija
28. July 2020 - 10:36With the blessings of His Grace Irinej the Bishop of the Serbian Eastern American Diocese, the Department of Christian Education of the Serbian Eastern American Diocese SOC organized a humanitarian action to collect aid for the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija under the name "Let's warm their hearts.” During this humanitarian action, about 2,000 tons of goods were collected, including over 5,000 different clothing items for children, youth and adults. These are 131 packages with an estimated total value of over $23,000. In addition, $13,400 were raised.

His Holiness IRINEJ, Archbishop of Pech, Metropolitan of Belgrade-Karlovac, and our Serbian Patriarch in his “Appeal to Turkey” ( https://www.easterndiocese.org/news_200714_1 ), has boldly joined the world outcry over the reversion of Hagia Sophia, Ἁγία Σοφία, the Great Church of Holy Wisdom in Constantinople (presently, Istanbul), dedicated in 537 AD by Emperor Justinian the Great, from a museum to a mosque. In fact, this is now the fourth instance of a historic Byzantine church being reverted from a museum to a mosque in Turkey.
Serbian Students of Eastern America Pay Tribute to Professor John Behr
28. July 2020 - 8:52The Serbian alumni of St. Vladimir’s Seminary, who had the privilege of studying under renowned theologian, the Very Rev. Professor Dr. John Behr, together with his Grace Bishop Irinej, himself an alumnus of St. Vladimir’s Seminary, now bid farewell and voice their appreciation, as Fr. John and his family moved to Scotland.
By appointment of Her Majesty Elizabeth II, Queen of Great Britain, the former St. Vladimir’s Seminary Dean from 2007 to 2017, and Fr. Georges Florovsky Distinguished Professor of Patristics, prolific author and acclaimed speaker, has accepted the position of Regius Professor of Humanity at the ancient University of Aberdeen.
